Explaining the attainment of the causes and results of practice, as well as explaining impermanence and so on, explaining the dharmas that are fully applied to the limbs of the Uposatha. Among them, in order to explain the place for expounding the Pratimoksha Sutra after praising and prostrating to the qualities of the Tathagata, from "The banner of fame is known in the three worlds" to "To be distinguished in the midst of the noble assembly" is said. In these two verses, the first half and a half explain the praise and prostration to the qualities of the Tathagata. The last two lines explain the place for expounding the Pratimoksha Sutra. With the first half and a half praising the qualities of the Tathagata and prostrating, it should also be combined with seven meanings to explain, namely cause and effect, benefiting others, wisdom, compassion, the difference of fruit, self-interest, and the perfect fruit achieved incidentally. Among them, in terms of the perfection of cause and effect, it is said, "The banner of fame is known in the three worlds." The so-called "fame" refers to the Tathagata who, from countless kalpas, has practiced various ascetic practices such as giving and other paramitas, and naturally achieved the merits of omniscient wisdom, as well as immeasurable power and fearlessness, etc. "Banner" is a metaphor, just like erecting a banner in a place where many people gather, the banner is conspicuous and beautiful, and the things represented by the banner will not be confused. The life merits of the Tathagata are also beautiful and pleasant to hear, and those who rely on it completely abandon the evil paths such as the three evil realms, so it is said that the merits of the Tathagata are also like a banner. There are two kinds of "world", namely the sentient world and the container world. Here it is combined with the sentient world, because those qualities of the Tathagata can be heard by sentient beings. The so-called "fame in the three realms" refers to the fame in the three realms of desire realm, form realm, and formless realm. If sound and the root of hearing sound are form, then how does sound spread in the formless realm? For example, a silver hook

Just as before, when abiding in the desire realm and the form realm, since there is the habit of hearing the greatness and virtues of the Thus-Gone One, there is no contradiction in calling it "Renowned." In order to accomplish the perfection of the benefit of others, it is said, "The sacred Dharma roars the lion's roar." Among them, "sacred" refers to the Thus-Gone One, because he has abandoned the two obscurations and become the most excellent in the world. Dharma refers to the Dharma he proclaimed, that is, any of the teachings, realizations, and fruitions. Or, these three sacred Dharmas themselves, because they are without defects and superior to others, are also called "sacred." "Lion's roar" is a metaphor, just as the lion's roar can overwhelm all animals, the Thus-Gone One also possesses virtues such as the four fearlessnesses, spreading in the three realms, overwhelming all demons and wrong views, therefore proclaiming the sacred Dharma and accomplishing the benefit of others. In order to accomplish the perfection of wisdom, it is said, "Omniscient," then, why is the Thus-Gone One called Omniscient? Because he truly sees all mundane and supramundane, defiled and undefiled, conditioned and unconditioned, superior and unsurpassed dharmas, just as a person with eyes places a haritaki fruit in the palm of his hand, seeing all without exception, therefore he is called Omniscient. Some say that there are four kinds of omniscience, what are the four? That is, knowing without remainder, immeasurably, uncommonly, and without error. Among them, knowing without remainder refers to knowing without remainder the mundane and supramundane, conditioned and unconditioned, and so on. Knowing immeasurably refers to the fact that like Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, they only know two or three emptinesses, which is limited, while the wisdom of the Thus-Gone One is immeasurable and unfathomable, therefore it is knowing immeasurably. Knowing uncommonly refers to what Hearers and Solitary Buddhas know and see, the Thus-Gone One also knows, the Thus-Gone One
