Nearby, they entered the summer retreat with friends. To serve the teacher, Kungawo also entered the summer retreat there. At that time, the nuns thought to themselves: Now, in this time, there is a famine, which is very painful, and it is difficult to obtain food even by begging. If householders find it difficult to prepare food for their own sons, what need is there to mention the nuns? We are of little renown, and worldly people are fond of merit, so we should praise each other's merits in any way possible. Then, they went to the residences of Brahmins and householders and said: In whatever village direction such a community of nuns resides, you Brahmins and householders have obtained excellent offerings. This nun has attained the four dhyanas and the realm between nothingness and non-nothingness. This nun has attained the four immeasurables, the six superknowledges, and the four fruits of a renunciate. This nun has attained the state of destroying enemies. Worldly people are fond of merits, so they do not hesitate to give alms and prepare food for my son. They spent three summer months, obtained Dharma robes, and then went to Shravasti. Then, the nuns asked: Holy Mother, where did you enter the summer retreat? The Holy Mothers replied: We were in the village of the Brij region. They asked: Then, do you enjoy comfort? Are you not troubled by begging? They replied: We enjoy comfort and are not troubled by begging. They asked: Then, what is the cause and condition that you are not troubled? Worldly people are fond of merit, because we praise each other's merits. Is this true? Or is it a lie? It is a lie. When this happened, the monks reported to the teacher, and the teacher instructed: Is it true that you have said to the many nuns that you have attained a state superior to human Dharma? Venerable One, no. Then, the teacher rebuked them in various ways. A place for learning discipline was established for the Shravaka nuns. Furthermore, any nun who does not know superknowledge and does not fully understand, and falsely claims to have attained a state superior to human Dharma, as well as the limits and the excellent states.

Having attained the distinctions of the earth, as well as knowledge and vision, without experiencing touch, and falsely claiming "I know this" and "I see this" when they do not, desiring purification from the offense arising from falsehood. At that time, whether asked or not, the noble women would say, "I know what I do not know, and I see what I have not seen," speaking falsely. If they said such things, then that bhikkhuni is also defeated by Parajika and should not live together. Thus, the place of learning was established. Many bhikkhunis, diligent in yoga, relying on a sign of tranquility, generating the worldly path in their minds, eliminated afflictions, and did not partake in fine foods, etc. They said to each other, "I have attained the noble state. I have attained the state of not partaking in afflictions, desire, etc." "Birth is exhausted, the practice of purity is established, what needs to be done has been done, there is no further existence." They claimed to have attained the state of Arhat. Because they lived together with laywomen and female novices, afflictions arose. They said to each other, "When we live mixed together with laywomen and female novices, these afflictions arise again. The Teacher said that if one claims to have attained superhuman qualities when one has not, one is defeated by Parajika. Have we not been defeated by Parajika?" Like this, those bhikkhunis spoke to the monks, and they reported to the Teacher. The previous instruction was the establishment, and this is the permission, therefore, a place of discipline is established for the Shravaka nuns. Furthermore, any bhikkhuni who, without directly knowing and fully understanding, falsely claims to have attained superhuman qualities when she has not, having attained the distinctions of boundaries and noble ones, as well as knowledge and vision,

Non-omniscience is not knowing the path of the world, and not knowing through the gate of conformity, and not knowing impermanence as impermanence, etc., not knowing through the gate of impermanence. Complete non-omniscience is not knowing the liberation of the transcendental path, and not knowing through the gate of non-conformity, that is, not knowing impermanence as impermanence is not knowing through the gate of non-conformity. Human dharma refers to the five shadows, namely, desire's attachment, hatred, sleep and drowsiness, regret and distraction, and doubt. The superior person refers to the form realm above the desire realm. The superior person above it is the formless realm. Limit refers to what is called limit outside of Nirvana. Holy Mother refers to the four fruits of a Bhikshu. Knowing refers to the ten wisdoms, namely, the wisdom of dharma in suffering, and the wisdom known after suffering, thus in each of the four truths, one and two two seeing is called eight, namely, the forbearance of knowing the dharma in suffering, and the forbearance known after suffering, in the four truths thus two two is eight. To act without touching means to say that what has not been obtained is obtained. To say there is when there is not means I have freedom. Obtainable is easy, saying obtainable or unobtainable is exhausted. This knowing, this seeing refers to gods, etc. Claiming means saying knowing when not knowing, and claiming to see when not seeing. At another time means at a future time. Even if asked, one speaks for oneself out of regret. Holy Mothers, I said knowing without knowing, I said seeing without seeing, emptiness means speaking of food without merit and speaking without reputation, therefore it is like an empty vessel.
