Along with the earth, those who have the same precepts. From this, if one has not renounced the precepts, has not broken the precepts, and engages in non-celibacy, engaging in the act of sexual intercourse, even with one who has been reborn as an animal, that bhikkhuni is defeated and should not remain. The word "also" in this context indicates that there is no fault from the beginning. What is a "bhikkhuni"? There are five types of bhikkhunis: a bhikkhuni in name, a bhikkhuni by claim, a bhikkhuni by begging, a bhikkhuni who is free from defilements, and a bhikkhuni who has taken full ordination through the request and the four acts. Here, it refers to a bhikkhuni who has taken full ordination through the request and the four acts. Therefore, it is said "bhikkhuni." Those who are with a bhikkhuni are those who are not that (bhikkhuni) but practice the same Dharma. "Having the same precepts" means that a bhikkhuni who has taken full ordination and is a hundred years old should also learn the precepts from someone who has taken full ordination on that day. Here, what is the same in terms of discipline, training, and the divisions of the Pratimoksha Sutra is called having the same precepts. What does it mean to "not renounce the precepts"? If a bhikkhuni renounces the precepts due to anger, madness, mental disturbance, or being afflicted by illness, it is called not renouncing the precepts. If one renounces the precepts to someone who possesses these qualities, it is not considered renouncing the precepts. If the preceptor renounces the precepts in a border language to a fool, a mute, a deaf person, or one of the three who think of a non-ordained person as ordained, or if one is fundamentally mad, sleeping upside down, in meditation, with a non-human, a god, an emanation, an animal, a form, or in a noisy place, it is not considered renouncing the precepts. In short, if there is no intention to give up, but only strives for the sake of virtuous conduct, does not strive for the sake of household life, and does not communicate with a man or woman who can communicate, it is called not renouncing the precepts. "Not having broken the precepts" means that there are those who have broken the precepts but have not renounced the precepts. There are those who have renounced the precepts but have not broken the precepts, and there are those who have broken the precepts and have renounced the precepts.

There is. There are those who have not broken their vows but have not renounced them either. How is it that one has broken their vows but has not renounced them? For example, has a bhikkhuni become attached? Is she displeased? Does she want to return to lay life? Is she pursuing the purpose of brahmacharya? Is it an obstacle to brahmacharya? Is she ashamed? Does she have doubts? Scolding and going to the bhikkhunis, saying: Holy Mother, please be aware! Celibacy is difficult to practice, extreme solitude is difficult to achieve, being happy alone is difficult, living near monasteries, forests, mountains, and remote places is difficult. Living alone in a monastery is painful, as one remembers parents, siblings, companions, preceptresses, and teachers. Please let me learn crafts, please let me work, please let me devote myself to all kinds of virtuous deeds, saying this, although understanding the meaning of the words, but not saying that one renounces the vows, this is breaking the vows, but not renouncing them. How is it that one has renounced the vows but has not broken them? For example, a bhikkhuni goes to the bhikkhunis and says: Holy Mother, please listen to me! My name is so-and-so, and I have renounced the vows. Does one not renounce the Three Jewels, the Three Pitakas, the preceptor, and the preceptress? Or does one say, "Shall I return to lay life and marry?" Or is one a eunuch, a hermaphrodite, a slanderer of bhikkhunis, a killer of parents, a killer of arhats, a maker of schism in the Sangha, ༄༅། པ་དང། , one who maliciously draws blood from the Tathagata, a heretic, one who has joined a heretical sect. Is one a thief-dweller, a different-dweller, a non-dweller. Or does one say, "I and you are of the same Dharma, practicing the same brahmacharya, there is no need to associate with you," saying this, one has renounced the vows. In this way, although one has renounced the vows, one has not broken them. How is it that one has both broken the vows and renounced them? It is when one possesses the two situations mentioned above, that one has both broken the vows and renounced them. How is it that one has neither broken the vows nor renounced them? It is other than the situations mentioned above. Impure conduct is when two meet. Sexual intercourse is called...
