It also shows that one should diligently protect against intrinsic transgressions. Why? Because a word "also" is hidden, also for the sake of observation. "Diligently" means whatever effort is made for virtuous dharmas. "Respectfully" means to act as an offering. "Do" means to make it real. "To engage without carelessness" means to practice as it is said. As the Buddha said, one should diligently protect against violations of precepts and intrinsic transgressions, this is a summary teaching. The so-called "practice of not engaging in views" is: Constantly and extremely dependent, the mind is like a wild horse difficult to tame, hammered with sharp pegs, this is like the Vinaya-sutra as a rein. It is said that just as a wild horse cannot go on the right path, constantly relying on the wrong path, it can be tamed to go on the right path by taming it with reins, so for a bhikshuni who is not tamed and not pacified, who cannot abide in her heart, she can be tamed with the Vinaya-sutra like a rein. The so-called "constantly and extremely dependent" is connected with "difficult to tame," which means relying at all times, being attached to objects and generating anger, which must be prevented, this is a summary teaching. "Difficult to tame" means that the mind is difficult to tame. Saying mind is only for the purpose of taming the mind, because the mind is completely defiled, so it must be purified, not the self, because the self is not in accordance with complete defilement and purity, and is unchanging like space. The so-called "hammering in pegs" means that those who transgress the reins of the Vinaya-sutra will regret in many ways in this life and will not be happy. The so-called "sharp" means to cut off the occurrence of transgressions in the next life, therefore the Vinaya-sutra is likened to a rein. The so-called rein means that for those who are not tamed by bad habits, their mouths should be whipped. The so-called "similar" means similar, because it is neither too narrow nor too wide. Because it completely abandons the extreme of making oneself tired, it is not too narrow. Engaged in the pleasure of desire.

Since the extreme of bias is completely abandoned, it is not too broad either. Or, it is called similar because it is shown to be in accordance with the conduct of fools, etc. The term "This is individual liberation" is to show that this is the rein. To show the excellence of truly holding: "Great ones, with mere words, Do not transgress the limits of cessation, They are excellent men and horses, Will be liberated from the battlefield of afflictions." Thus it was said. "Great ones" refers to those who wish to learn. "Anyone" means anyone at all. "With mere words" means not with sticks or weapons. "Cessation" means ceasing from prohibitions and natural transgressions. "Limits" refers to the limits of the training. "Do not transgress" means not to violate. The term "They are excellent men and horses" means that just as warriors and good horses are liberated from the battlefield of enemies, so too, great ones, with mere words, cease from evil and do not transgress the excellent limits, they will also be liberated from the battlefield of afflictions, which is like an enemy. "Battlefield of afflictions" means fighting with afflictions. "Will be liberated" means at the time of attaining the Arhat state. To show the faults of not holding truly: "Whoever does not have this rein, Never wishes to go, They will fail from the battlefield of afflictions, Helplessly wander everywhere." Thus it was said. "Whoever does not have this rein" refers to the non-Buddhists and those who indulge in desires, because by their very nature they do not have the rein of individual liberation. "Never wishes to go" means that even if they are not non-Buddhists and those who indulge in desires, but all those who are not completely beyond the nature of samsara, because they have abandoned the rein of individual liberation, they are controlled by afflictions and wander for a long time in the ocean of samsara. "Will fail from the battlefield of afflictions" means that the reason why they do not have the rein of individual liberation and never wish to go is that both are controlled by afflictions. "Helplessly" means that both of them have completely abandoned the rein of individual liberation. "Wander everywhere"
