Then, to diligently do with body, speech, and mind, namely, to receive, to hold, and to accomplish, corresponds in order to the three wisdoms. "Difficult to find" and "very rare" mean that even with diligence, it is difficult to obtain with great effort. This verse shows that it is difficult to obtain individual liberation vows compared to scripture and realization. Among them, hearing, receiving, and holding indicate that it is difficult to obtain from scripture. Accomplishing indicates that it is difficult to obtain from realization. In order to show that the appearance of the Three Jewels in the world is happiness, (the Buddha said:) The appearance of the Buddhas is happiness, The teaching of the Dharma is also happiness, The harmony of the Sangha is happiness, The asceticism of those in harmony is happiness. Among them, "The appearance of the Buddhas is happiness," Buddha refers to as previously stated. "The" refers to many, not one. "Appearance" refers to the Buddha appearing at the time of entering the womb or at the time of birth, because the Bodhisattva is called Buddha in the form of transformation. Or at the time of manifest complete enlightenment, it is called the appearance of the Buddha, because at that time, omniscience, which is the cause of all that is called Buddha, is attained. "Happiness" means that the Tathagata appears in the world and places sentient beings in the position of higher realms and definite goodness, so it is called happiness, just like unhappiness. Among them, "The teaching of the Dharma is also happiness" means that the twelve divisions of scripture, such as sutras, are preached, so those who enter into it obtain the state of liberation. The word Dharma refers to holding one's own characteristics. Teaching is a synonym for speaking and establishing. Sangha refers to eight types of individuals or others besides them. Harmony means that discipline, view, conduct, and livelihood are the same, that is, actions are consistent and there is no difference. Among them, the same discipline means that even what a hundred-year-old Arhat should learn, a newly ordained Bhikshu should also learn, that is, in the five categories of offenses

is the same as abandoning faults. The same view is to view the general characteristics of impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, and not to have different views like the Tirthikas. The same conduct is the same as praising body, speech, and mind. The same livelihood is that everyone is satisfied with the thirteen items allowed by the Tathagata and only alms, and abandons wrong livelihood. It is said that happiness is when precepts and so on are in accordance with each other, the Tirthikas cannot distinguish, and the merit of the patrons will increase. The asceticism of those who are in harmony is happiness. It is said that those who are in harmony are the Sangha of the Shravakas, for the sake of fully practicing the precepts. Asceticism is called the three trainings. Higher morality, higher mind, and higher wisdom are cultivated. These three cause suffering to afflictions, so it is called asceticism, and it is shown to be the cause of happiness itself. If it is shown to a virtuous friend, it is called happiness, and in that respect, the noble ones see happiness. It is said that it is happy to associate with the virtuous ones. The noble one is called that because he is far away from sin. Seeing happiness means that seeing those virtuous friends who are far away from sin will lead to eminence and the path of definite goodness. The virtuous ones are those noble ones who are far away from sin themselves. They are called virtuous because they are praised as good. Even seeing them becomes fruitful, not to mention associating with them, which is the meaning of this. In order to show that it is happy to abandon unwholesome friends, it is said that if children are not seen, they will always become happiness itself. Children are those who are not noble and who commit sins, those who act unwholesomely with their bodies, speak unwholesomely with their speech, and think unwholesomely with their minds. If such an unwholesome friend who commits sins is not seen, it is shown to be the cause of happiness because bad things do not increase. Showing the difference of virtuous friends
