One should quickly generate joy. If the abbot is subject to punitive actions, even if punished, one should resolve to be liberated from it, and thus living together, one should quickly generate joy. If the abbot manifests the act of expulsion from the monastery, even if expelled, in any case, I will manifest the act of expelling the abbot from the monastery, even if expelled, one should resolve to be liberated from it, and thus living together, one should quickly generate joy. If the abbot commits a sanghavasesa offense, in any case, I will give the abbot joy, or give joy from the root, or having given joy, give what should be satisfied, or give what should be satisfied from the root, or having given what should be satisfied, then expel, thus living together, if joy arises, it is good, if joy does not arise, it will become a serious violation. Thus living together, whatever actions the abbot has, one should generate joy for them. On the other hand, whatever actions the abbot has for those living together, one should accomplish them with great effort, except for requests. One who lives together should spread the abbot's seat, prepare water for washing feet and shoes, and place them on one side. One should wash the abbot's feet, anoint them with oil, and massage them. Prepare the urine pot and the stool pot and place them properly. If it is necessary to recite scriptures, one should also recite scriptures. If it is necessary to remember, one should also remember, come to one side, sit down and meditate. After getting up in the morning, empty the urine pot and the stool pot. Bow to the abbot's feet with one's head, and ask the abbot if he is well, if he is comfortable, if he is at ease. If he is sick, one should also generate joy for the medicine and service for treating the illness. If not, one should remain peacefully and equanimously. If it is the food of the sangha, or the food to which one is invited, one should also tell the abbot: there is food of the sangha, now please enjoy it peacefully. If it is alms food, one should also tell the abbot: abbot, are you going to alms round? One who lives together should for the abbot

Having arrived there, put down the bowl and Dharma robes, and spread out the Khenpo's seat. Prepare water for washing feet and shoes, and then wash your feet. After that, if it is time for the meal, then spread out the Khenpo's bowl mat and hand over the bowl. Offer whatever food, delicious things, and sacred objects you have to the Khenpo. The Khenpo should also know the amount to accept. Having done the food matters, the Dharma of happiness should be declared. Wash the bowl with cow dung and bran, and then place the bowl and Dharma robes as before. Having prostrated to the Khenpo, ask whether the Khenpo will abide, or whether he will go for a midday rest. If going for a midday rest, also take the Khenpo's bed and cushion, as well as the pillow and water pot, invite the Khenpo to the front, and then ask him where the place for the midday rest is.
