Returning. Therefore, it is pointed out as the very cause of completely subduing those who are difficult to tame. Thus, these three verses show that if one strives for individual liberation, one will obtain such a result in this life, and therefore, through the result of this life, the greatness of individual liberation is explained. In order to speak of the greatness of individual liberation from the aspect of the fruit of future lives, it is said: From the cycle of existence deeper than the ocean, this is the method of crossing over for liberation, this is the bridge of reliable passage to good migrations. And so on, two verses were spoken. The cycle of existence deeper than the ocean means the world of the five migrations, which is even deeper and more difficult to reach the bottom than the poisonous ocean. This is the method of crossing over for liberation from that cycle of existence, which is the path that becomes the cause of complete liberation, like a bridge, a boat, a raft, swimming, and so on. That is, this is individual liberation, because when morality is completely pure, the path arises. Therefore, it shows that this is the means of liberation from the cycle of existence and obtaining a definitely good path. This means individual liberation. Good migrations means the happy migrations of higher realms, that is, the migrations of gods and humans. Going means entering and obtaining there. Definitely means becoming a single teaching, that is, it cannot be taken away. A bridge over water means a bridge that also blocks the flow of water, because it also blocks the water of bad migrations, and it is also a bridge to go to higher realms. This is individual liberation, because morality is the cause of happy migrations. Therefore, it shows that this is the means of liberation from bad migrations and obtaining the path of higher rebirth. This is the path that defeats afflictions, it is the supreme guide of the king, this is the ladder for entering the city of liberation, it stands like a foundation. Among them, this refers to individual liberation. Afflictions refer to afflictions such as desire and anger. Defeating means abandoning. That is, in any case, it is the path, that is, the eightfold noble path. King means that the path itself that defeats afflictions is like a king, so it is a king.

It is to defeat the enemy of afflictions. The one called "Supreme Guide" is like the heart of a king, because it guides the noble path. Thus, it shows that it abandons the cause of samsara, afflictions, and guides the noble path, the cause of nirvana. "This" is called the Pratimoksha. "Of liberation" is called nirvana. "City" is called that liberation itself is like a city, so it is called a city because it is free from all harm. "Entering" is called going. "Base of the ladder" is called the support of the ladder, this Pratimoksha abides like that, because the basis of the path is discipline. Thus, it shows that the cause of obtaining the fruit of nirvana is the very basis of the noble path. Thus, through those two verses, if one strives to practice Pratimoksha, one will obtain such a result in the next life, thereby explaining the greatness of Pratimoksha through the result of the next life. By praising the Pratimoksha as if praising the teacher, thereby mainly expounding the greatness of the Pratimoksha, Saying: "When I have passed into nirvana, This is your teacher, The self-born one reveres, Diligently before the Sangha, Praises." One verse was spoken. "I" refers to the Bhagavan himself. "Passed into nirvana" refers to the realm of nirvana without remainder of aggregates. "This" refers to the Pratimoksha. "Your" refers to the Sangha of the Shravakas. "Teacher" means like a teacher. "Self-born" refers to the Bhagavan, because without the teaching of others, the Bhagavan attained unsurpassed wisdom. "Self" refers to one's own face. "Reveres" means to teach with intention. "Diligently" means solemnly. "Bhikshu" refers to a bhikshu who has taken full ordination through petition and four karmas. "Sangha" refers to a large gathering. "Before" means manifestly. "Praises" means like a teacher. Therefore, the teacher, the Bhagavan, completely
