If it is said that there is no fault, then, in order to obtain the adornment of the mind, the equipment of the mind, the accumulation of yoga, and the supreme meaning, if one gives to householders or renunciates in these ways, then the giving is without fault, and that is called giving and increasing. What is the adornment of a mendicant? In short, there are seventeen aspects: having faith, being without deceit, having few illnesses, having the nature of exerting effort, having sharp wisdom, having few desires, being content, being easy to heal, being easy to satisfy, having the qualities of training, being beautiful, understanding warmth, having the Dharma of a noble person, having the signs of a wise person, having great patience, being steadfast, and being wealthy. Therefore, a virtuous friend is also very difficult to find, what need is there to mention listening to the sacred Dharma and contemplating it? This has been shown. Thus, these two verses show that because the path of the Sangha is rare, it must be made to bear fruit, thereby making the path of the Sangha bear fruit. Having mastered obtaining the path of the Sangha, making the path of the Sangha bear fruit, "The Buddhas appear in the world, humans and renunciates, perfect discipline, good friends are difficult to find, if found." One verse was spoken, "The Buddhas appear in the world," this shows that one has obtained the wealth of others. "Humans," this shows that one has obtained one's own wealth. "Renunciates," this shows that one has obtained the desire for virtuous Dharma. "Perfect discipline," this shows the discipline of the precepts, the discipline of the senses, knowing the measure of food, and not sleeping in the upper and lower parts of the night, striving to practice and acting with mindfulness. "Good friends are difficult to find, if found," this shows that one has obtained a virtuous friend, listening to and contemplating the sacred Dharma, being without obstacles, giving and increasing, and the adornment of a mendicant. Thus, this one verse shows that because the path of the Sangha has not been obtained, therefore

It is necessary to show that the path of accumulation has fruit by means of having fruit. By the way of striving by obtaining the path of accumulation, in order to make the path of accumulation have fruit, the following authorization was made: The wise are kind to me, they want to make it fruitful, those who are diligent in discipline, to listen to individual liberation, should strive. A verse was said, the wise, refers to the person who has the mark of the wise. The body does good deeds, the mouth speaks good words, and the mind thinks good things. Being kind to me refers to the synonym of self-knowledge. They want to make it fruitful, refers to wanting to make those paths of accumulation have fruit, wanting to obtain the path of application and the path of purification, which is a synonym. Those who are diligent in discipline refers to those who have already renounced the world. Connecting those people to strive to listen to individual liberation, it is said to strive to listen, hold, grasp, and practice, which is a synonym. In this way, this one verse alone shows that the path of accumulation has fruit by striving by obtaining the path of accumulation. In order to show that one cultivates individual liberation mainly by oneself, it is said: Bhikshu who subdues the senses. Subduing refers to guarding the five senses such as the eyes. When the eyes see things, they do not grasp the characteristics, do not grasp the appearance, and do not subsequently become attached and angry, etc. The senses refer to dwelling in an equal state. For all states such as the root, the object, the object, the time, and the person, all subdue the senses. Because his own thoughts are very pure, when violating the precepts of the Bhikshu, relying on himself, a sense of shame arises, thus showing that one cultivates individual liberation mainly by oneself. In order to show that one cultivates individual liberation mainly by others, it is said: Buddha unchanging renunciate.
