The homes of prostitutes and patrons. The first thing to do is to face the Three Jewels. To desire by measuring with time means to become necessary. To take three alms bowls means three types: superior, medium, and inferior. The large one can hold six handfuls of dried rice from the land of Mangkha, as well as a portion of doi sauce and vegetables, and the thumb of Karana cannot fully touch the edge of the bowl. The small one can hold six handfuls of rice from the land of Mangkha, as well as a portion of sauce and vegetables. The medium one is in between the two. A Bhikshu outside the monastery, now let the Bhikshu dwell, meaning let those who dwelt before dwell. The fault is that if all three are taken with a large bowl, then when the Bhikshuni is alive, if a fault is taken, one will fall. Two large ones, one small one, if taken, one will also fall. Two large ones, one medium one, will also fall. Two are medium, one is large, one will also fall. If a Bhikshu takes slightly more than five and a half handfuls of dried rice, then in any case, one will fall. The origin of not allowing to eat leftover food is that it was in Shravasti. At that time, the Blessed One said to the Bhikshus of the Sangha, eating together on one seat is less work and less harm. Abiding in happiness, one can also understand the accumulation of merits, Bhikshus, you should also eat together on one seat. When the Bhikshus ate together on one seat, because the teachers, Khenpos, and Lamas stood up and prostrated, they thought they had given up food, so they did not eat, and became weak and thin. So they reported to the Blessed One, who said not to get up. Again, when distributing the later food, thinking that if they said enough and gave up, then the previous one would also be given up, so they did not eat, and became weak and thin, so the Blessed One said again, even if the later one is given up, the previous one will not be given up, eat as much as you want. The six groups of Bhikshus, whether they gave up or not, mixed and ate, so they reported to the Blessed One, who scolded them, saying that this is not the behavior of a Bhikshu. If one eats abandoned food, one will fall. Therefore, the training was established in the Vinaya. The reason for allowing leftover food is that later a patron invited the Bhikshus to a feast, and there were many sick Bhikshus at that time, for the sick Bhikshus

The ritual of making leftovers is to place the leftovers on the chest, throw the remaining food scraps on the ground, hear the sounds of birds and dogs barking, and listen with the ears, so as not to eat the small amount of food given by the first benefactor. Furthermore, a Bhikshu refers to the group of six, and others are similar to this. Food refers to the five edible items and the five chewable items. The five chewable items do not need to be abandoned. Roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits, the five edible items need to be abandoned. Which five? Rice, beans, tsampa, meat, and cheese. The five edible items can also be abandoned. Thus it is said. When the hand holding cheese touches oil, thinking that everything afterwards has been abandoned, one can know that it has been abandoned in five ways: allowing food, allowing distribution of food, allowing preparation for distribution of food, allowing abandonment of food, and allowing withdrawal from conduct. Allowing food is allowing the five edible and chewable items. Allowing distribution of food is allowing men and women. Allowing preparation for distribution of food is allowing the five edible items nearby. Allowing abandonment of food is allowing the five edible and chewable items. Withdrawal from conduct means getting up from the cushion one is sitting on, these five ways can know that food has been abandoned. The opposite of these five ways can know that it has not been abandoned. Furthermore, the five sentences that leave remnants can know that it has not been abandoned. The five sentences that leave no remnants can know that it has been abandoned. The five sentences that leave remnants, what is left? After saying "No need for a moment," after saying "Give it to someone else for a moment," after saying "Eat it later for a moment," after saying "Okay for a moment," after saying "Wait a moment," these are the five sentences that leave remnants. The five sentences that leave no remnants are the five sentences that do not mention "a moment" and are the opposite of the previous ones, one can know that these are the five sentences that leave no remnants. Eating with fault means swallowing into the throat. The downfall is the same as before. The fault is that a Bhikshu, regarding the abandoned food as abandoned, if he eats the edible and chewable items that have not been made into leftovers, he will commit a downfall. If he thinks that he has abandoned it when he has not abandoned it, and eats what has not been made into leftovers, he will commit a fault. Regarding abandonment as abandonment, truthfully
