The circumstance of not being allowed to sit now is that it was in Shravasti. At that time, Acharya, in the morning, wearing a skirt and Dharma robes, took a bowl and went to the city to beg for alms. He went to the house of his old wife, Sbedma, and sat there on a seat, recalling how he had previously been close and intimate, talking and making disputes. At that time, another Bhikshu went there for alms, and seeing the two of them sitting together, Sbedma also gave him food, and then he returned to the temple. Later, when Acharya came to the temple, he met the alms-seeker and said, "Your Sbedma gave me good food." Acharya said, "That's because I made her give it." (The alms-seeker asked:) "Then can you two be so casual?" He replied, "Whether it is allowed or not, it is true that I am sitting." The Bhikshus did not believe it, and after hearing it from slander, they scolded him in various ways, and from then on, it was forbidden to sit with a woman in a secluded place, and the precept was established. Again, Bhikshu refers to Acharya, or others similar to him. Woman refers to the Dharma of impure conduct. Secluded place refers to a place where there are no other men and women. One seat refers to within one fathom. A sheltered place refers to a place sheltered by earthen walls, walls, and hedges, etc. Sitting in an unsheltered place is without offense. The circumstance of Bhikshu not being allowed to stand with Bhikshuni in a secluded place is that it was in Shravasti. A patron's wife, Sbedma, after being ordained, was appointed by the Bhikshunis to manage the temple. Another Bhikshuni was invited to the city by a patron and left. When only Sbedma was cleaning and sitting in the temple, the venerable Acharya came, and the two of them recalled how they had previously respected and rejoiced, and talked about everything up to the time of their marriage, standing and talking. Later, Sbedma said, "Venerables, you should leave, and the Bhikshunis are about to come, and I also have to clean." After he left, the Bhikshunis came and asked, "Why didn't you do the cleaning?" Sbedma replied, "Today I didn't even put the broom on the ground." The two of them were talking

Near him was a sick person, so (he) heard everything they said. That person said, "It is true that she is called a witch, but she always says things like 'The Noble One appears,' and she is always swaying." Therefore, the bhikkhunis were ridiculed, and the bhikkhus heard about it and reported it to the Buddha. They were hurt by the "appearance" and belittled in various ways. Therefore, the precept was established that swaying is not allowed in the Vinaya. The others are combined as stated above. The difference is that swaying together within a fathom (about 1.8 meters) will result in a downfall. Bhikkhunis are not allowed to eat food designated for entertaining guests, which was when they were in Shravasti. At that time, there was a famine, and the Buddha ordered the bhikkhus to seek out their relatives and patrons. Some elder bhikkhus were offered food by Brahmins and faithful laypeople. However, the venerable Six Group bhikkhus had no patrons, and the Twelve Group bhikkhus went there for alms. They asked, "Who will offer food to the Noble Ones?" (The bhikkhunis replied:) "Now you have no offerings either, so it is not allowed to seek in that way. If Brahmin sisters and faithful laypeople come to offer sustenance to the elder bhikkhus, turn them into our patrons." When (the bhikkhus) asked, "Is it permissible to transform them in that way?" (the bhikkhunis) replied, "Where it is not allowed, say it is not allowed." The bhikkhuni Thulla Nandā, while begging for alms in Shravasti the next morning, said to the patrons of the elders such as Kauṇḍinya, "What is wrong with you offering sustenance to those who have renounced the Shakya clan, have the courage of reason and liberation, and proclaim the Dharma of the Three Baskets?" When (the patrons) asked, "Who are such people?" (the bhikkhunis) replied, "They are the venerable Ānanda and the Six Group bhikkhus." Then they also obtained offerings from there. The patrons of other elders were also won over, so the Six Group bhikkhus obtained many offerings, filled their containers, and then returned. Afterwards, others asked them, "How could you obtain so much?" The bhikkhunis Thulla Nandā and others replied, "It is the kindness of those sisters." Then (the bhikkhus) asked, "Is it permissible to beg in that way?" (The bhikkhunis) replied, "Why is it not permissible? Are we to sit here starving?" The bhikkhus
