Getalwa refers to completing the sound "A" before it is fully formed. Dharma refers to any of the three pitakas. If the teacher does something first and the student does it later or recites it, there is no transgression. The offense is that if one has not taken full ordination, knowingly reading it will result in a transgression. Doubt is the same. If one who has taken full ordination thinks that they have not, it is a minor offense. For a person who has not taken full ordination, it is not allowed to speak of offenses with negative implications. The origin of this is in Nyen du yod pa (Shravasti): Some monks who have not separated from desire and have not abandoned defilements often make mistakes. Later, monks heard the laws of transgression from those who hold the sutras, vinaya, and matrikas, and allowed them to commit transgressions again according to the Dharma. They also kissed and made mandalas at the stupas of the Tathagata's hair and nails. When the elder monks poured water and fanned, the six groups of monks and young monks did not do so, but just sat. The householders and Brahmins said that the elder monks are different from you, they have great faith and are diligent in good deeds. The six groups of monks said that they are not faithful, but are doing punishment, they have committed such offenses, and pointed with gestures. The householders ridiculed, saying that if the elder monks also commit such offenses and generate desire, what about the other young monks? The six groups of monks asked the young monks, who is your preceptor? They said, unlike you, they have gone to offer to the stupas and elders. The six groups of monks said that they are not offering out of faith, but are being punished, so they are doing the punishment. They do not trust the preceptors and will abandon them. The preceptor asked, where did you hear it from? They said they heard it from the six groups of monks. The preceptors were unhappy, reported this to the Buddha, and then established the precepts. Bhikshu refers to the six groups of monks, or others like them. Not fully ordained refers to both the father monk and the mother monk.

Except for this, everything else is. The so-called "bad place" refers to what arises from defeat and what arises from leftovers. The so-called "except for what is permitted by the Sangha" refers to using what is permitted by the Sangha. When in Shravasti, there were monks who behaved badly and nuns who were dishonest, committing adultery in those villages, causing those people to be unhappy, therefore it was said, "except for separately recognizing those faults and admonishing them." The offense is the same as before. What is the transgression? If a monk should not separately recognize, but knowingly does not separately recognize, he will commit an offense. If he is uncertain, he will also commit an offense. If a monk thinks that things that should be separately recognized are not separately recognizable, or if he separately recognizes them in a state of uncertainty, he will commit a misdeed. If a monk's transgression is known by everyone as if it were kneaded into a ball, or like a picture drawn, or like he knows it himself, there is no transgression in telling others. The basis for not being allowed to speak of the truth that transcends human law is on the shore of the monkey pond in the vast land. The five hundred fishermen who lived there abandoned all defilements through diligent effort and became Arhats. They had previously spoken when there was a famine without having any merit, so the precept of defeat was established. Here, because the truth has been seen, if one who has not received full ordination speaks of the truth that transcends human law, he will commit an offense. Understand it as saying a false defeat. The so-called monk refers to the five hundred fishermen, and others who have entered this Dharma. Not having received full ordination is the same as before. The so-called transcendence refers to the transcendence from the desire realm to the form realm. In this way, the five obscurations are called human law. Abandoning those five obscurations is called transcendence. The so-called speaking refers to admonishment. The so-called truth refers to the fact that its objects are real. The offense is the same as before. The transgression is that the monk's cognition, patience, and view are not hidden, and he hears the sounds of gods and nagas, from the sound destroyer to the gods, and says, "I saw them" or "I associated with them," he will commit an offense. Dedicating the Sangha's gains to a friend.
