When the patroness of Uyi (Tibetan transliteration) and the one encountered on the road, the holder of vows, said, the Blessed One said that those with merit will have their wishes fulfilled, and this will not change. Let me also see if I have merit. If I have a little wool, I will entrust it to the mother of all beings. She replied: That's fine, now I'm going to prostrate at the feet of the Buddha, send someone to fetch the wool. Then two bhikkhunis were sent to fetch it, but because the wool was too much and too heavy, the two bhikkhunis were also tired and lay down to rest. Others saw them and asked: Why are you two lying down? The two of them explained the whole story in detail. Then the mother of all beings also saw so much wool and thought: Although there is a lot of wool, for the gentlemen and the holy ones, they should be able to handle what they have promised, or they should accept it. So she immediately distributed it to the students, entrusted it to everyone, and after it was done, sent it to the holder of vows. The hands of the mother of all beings, Gotami, were very red, becoming like the hands of a bleacher, and when she prostrated at the feet of the Buddha, the Blessed One saw her and asked: How did you get hurt? The holder of vows replied: I asked to do the wool. The Blessed One rebuked: This is unreasonable. He established the precepts and again spoke of the bhikkhu, the bhikkhu is the holder of vows, and is the same as others. Non-relatives refer to relatives within seven generations of parents, beyond seven generations they are not relatives. Bhikkhuni refers to those who have entered this Dharma. Wool refers to the wool of sheep. Entrusting to wash means even just entrusting it to wash in water. Entrusting to dye means even just soaking it in dye. Entrusting to weave means even just a ball or a piece. Nissaggiya Pacittiya means abandoning the object and confessing the offense. What is the offense? If a bhikkhu, knowing that the other person is a non-relative bhikkhuni, still entrusts her to wash the wool, he commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. Entrusting to dye, he commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. Entrusting to weave, he commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. For non-relatives, knowing that they are non-relatives or having doubts

If entrusted, it becomes a transgression. If a Bhikshuni entrusts a message, letter, or gesture to a Bhikshuni who is not a relative, passing it on from one to another, it becomes a transgression. If entrusting to a Bhikshuni who is insane, afflicted by illness, mentally disturbed, foolish, mute, or deaf, it becomes a transgression. If entrusting to someone who has committed the five heinous crimes or to a laywoman, it becomes a transgression. If entrusting to a Bhikshuni who is a schismatic or who gives precepts, it becomes a Patayantika offense. If entrusting something mixed with what is unsuitable, such as something mixed with goat hair, sheep wool, and deer hair, it becomes a transgression. If entrusting someone else's wool, it becomes a transgression. If entrusting to someone who is not fully ordained, as well as to a Bhikshuni, Shramanerika, Upasika, laywoman, heretic, or someone in another state of existence, it becomes a transgression. The origin of not allowing the acceptance of Sālītālaka is that the Blessed One was residing in the Bamboo Grove, Kalandaka's place, in Rajagriha (present-day Rajgir, Bihar). At that time, ministers and village chiefs in Rajagriha, along with those adorned with jewels on their heads, gathered in the judgment hall to contemplate and deliberate. Some said, "The Shakyaputra ascetics are allowed to accept gold." Others said, "It is not allowed." Some said, "Whoever is allowed to accept gold and silver is also allowed to accept the five objects of desire and vehicles, etc." To inquire about what this was like, the village chief adorned with jewels on his head went specifically to the Buddha and asked. The Buddha replied, "Ascetics are not allowed to accept gold and silver. Vehicles and other things offered by patrons are allowed to be accepted." After allowing this, he also said, "Under the management of householders, it is not allowed to accept gold and silver." Thus he taught, but no training ground for discipline was established. Later, when the Blessed One was residing in Shravasti (present-day Sahet-Mahet, Uttar Pradesh), the group of six monks were accepting and causing others to accept Sālītālaka and silver with their own hands. They made one pile, two piles, and many piles. Because they were accumulating and placing them on mats and beds, the heretics also criticized, saying, "What is the difference between these monks and laypeople? What is the difference in their thoughts?"

It makes a pleasant sound. That's how it happened. The monks reported to the Buddha, and the Buddha scolded the six groups of monks, saying, "You are really hateful!" And condemned them in various ways, thus establishing the precept of not accepting gold and silver. Among them, "monk" refers to the six groups of monks, and others similar to them. "One's own hand" means taking it with one's hand. "Gold and silver" refers to gold and silver. "Accept" means to accept oneself. "Let accept" means to let others accept. "Nissaggiya Pacittiya" means to abandon the property and then confess the sin. "Fault" refers to committing an offense when ordering, "Take it from here, take this much! Bring these here!" "If accepted," it will be a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If a monk touches gold or silver, he will commit a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If you touch gems, pearls, and lapis lazuli, each one will be a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If you touch copper, iron, lead, and paint, there is no offense. Regarding the permission to accept gold and silver, when the Blessed One was in Shravasti, in the country of Champa, a kind-hearted householder built a monastery and invited many monks to stay there for three months. After the three months were over, they came out of the retreat and went to Shravasti to pay homage to the Buddha. At that time, the householder asked the monks to donate clothes, but the clothes could not be delivered immediately, so he gave them money to buy clothes, namely Karshapana, but the Buddha did not allow them to accept it, so they did not accept it. The fact that they did not accept it was known to the monks, and the monks reported to the Buddha, "If the householder donates out of faith, please allow the monks to accept it with compassion." The Buddha said, "It can be accepted, and then let the donor make a vow, or sell it, or give it to the monastery, or give it to the layman. Before the donor dies, it can be given to the donor to make a vow." If the donor dies or there is no donor, put the gold and silver in front of a monk and say, "I have obtained this illegal property, and use this illegal property to purchase legal clothes." Say this two or three times. If a monk passes on information or letters and entrusts others to accept them, he will commit a Dukkata offense. For madmen and
