It will also become like that. The origin of giving separately is: The Blessed One was staying in Shravasti. At that time, there was a couple who wandered separately and whose enjoyment also decreased. Because of whipping the maidservant, Nanda placed her in the training, etc., similar to the previous downfall. The difference is that only the husband and wife gave the price of the clothes to the monks separately. The so-called "separately" means that the husband is his own property, and the wife is also her own separate property, rather than combining the two and giving them to the monks, which is called "separately." The so-called "Please give it to me" means that the two of you please give it at the appropriate time. The so-called "the two also become" means please consider making equally good clothes. The so-called "wanting good" means that this is a condition for being able to practice comfortably, wanting to have virtues such as softness. The so-called "for" means for the reason. Other faults are the same as before. The origin of sending is: The Blessed One was staying in Shravasti. At that time, in Rajagriha, Nanda was staying there, and the Brahmin Summer Half had previously given sixty Karshapanas for the price of clothes, and Nanda himself went to serve the Buddha and arrived in Shravasti. The Brahmin Summer Half sent the money for the clothes to a merchant, as before, and Nanda arrived in Shravasti and went to the merchant's residence and placed it in the hands of a merchant. They agreed on a time to retrieve it, but Nanda did not come on time, and the merchant was also waiting for Nanda. Because of the delay, the king imposed a fine of sixty Karshapanas. It is said that when leaving, if Nanda took the goods, the merchant would also be eager to get the money, so he threw away the goods and the container together, and because there were too many goods, he looked for an excuse not to let the merchant leave. The merchant was punished because of the fine and became unbelieving, improperly demanding, not guarding the hearts of others, and indulging in obtaining, so he made people disbelieve. The spice merchant said, who will bear the fine of five hundred Karshapanas imposed like this? The novices ridiculed, saying that it was because they liked the practitioners of the Shakya clan that it became like this.

We heard and reported. Is it true that such a thing happened? The Blessed One said to Nanda, and he replied that it was not, and the Blessed One rebuked him, saying that it was improper and unreasonable, and then established the training ground. Again, the root words such as "bhikshu" were spoken. The so-called "for the sake of the bhikshu" refers to Nanda, the son of the Shakya clan, and others similar to him. The so-called "king" refers to the four castes such as the king's caste, or to a male or female who has been enthroned as king. The so-called minister is the one who offers counsel to the king and relies on him. The Brahmin refers to a person with pure conduct. The so-called "householder" refers to a wealthy person. The so-called "villager" refers to a local resident. The so-called "wealthy person" refers to a rich person. The so-called "merchant chief" refers to the one who gives methods. The so-called "leader" refers to the one who leads many guests and travels back and forth many times. The so-called "in the hand of the messenger" refers to a female, male, or hermaphrodite. The so-called "value of the cloth" refers to gold and silver. Then, the messenger took the value of the cloth and went to that bhikshu, and upon arriving, said to the bhikshu, the noble king and Brahmin, etc., call you by this name, and have sent you this value of the cloth, for the sake of your compassion, please accept these. After saying that, the bhikshu said to the messenger, O long-lived messenger, bhikshus are not allowed to accept the value of cloth, but if we obtain cloth in time, then we will accept it. The so-called "proper" refers to that which is suitable for use. If that messenger said to the bhikshu, do the noble ones have any instructions? After saying that, the bhikshu who desires cloth would indicate the one who gives instructions. The so-called "desiring cloth" refers to needing cloth. The so-called "monastery" refers to that which is permissible. The so-called "lay follower" refers to one who has taken refuge and abides in the five precepts. O long-lived messenger, this is the one who gives instructions for the bhikshu. Then, the messenger took the value of the cloth and went to the one who gives instructions, and upon arriving, said to the one who gives instructions, O long-lived instructor, please know that you should use this value of the cloth to buy such a cloth, and when the bhikshu named so-and-so comes, give him the proper cloth to wear in time. The so-called "proper" refers to
