Even Shila could not be subdued, and if, weary, he requested that the fourfold assembly of disciples be entrusted to him, (the Buddha) replied: I have not entrusted even Shariputra and Maudgalyayana, what need to mention you, a foolish man? He did not grant it. Then, Devadatta said to the five bhikkhu friends, including Kadamoraka and others: Come here, you who have benefits! While the bhikkhu Gautama is still here, we shall disturb the disciples, the assembly of shravakas. After we die, we will become famous in all directions. After deliberating thus, some elders were led by gain, others were led by gain and discipline, and they led five hundred bhikkhu followers. They established five precepts: not to drink milk, not to eat meat, not to eat salt, not to wear rough clothes that harm a man's strength, and to prohibit the enjoyment of offered goods, and not to reside in monasteries. The bhikkhu reported this matter to the Blessed One. The Blessed One summoned Devadatta and asked if Devadatta had really done these things, and he replied: Yes. Because such a thing had happened, the precepts of discipline were established. Again, the words "any bhikkhu" are the root words. Then, the Blessed One said to the bhikkhus: Devadatta and the bhikkhus who follow him, and others like him, should be admonished with gentle words. If they still cannot be persuaded to leave, they should be admonished two or three times with a request and four karmas. Again, "any bhikkhu" refers to Devadatta, and others like him. "Same" refers to six kinds: the same clothing, the same actions, the same discipline, the same views, the same livelihood, and the same conduct, these six are called the same. "Sangha" refers to the Sangha of the Tathagata's shravakas. "Creating division" refers to holding views different from the teacher and the path, dividing into two. "Therefore entering" refers to entering into dispute, whether it be discipline or request. "For the sake of division" refers to giving food and so on, and friends and so on. "Dispute" refers to the dispute of conflict. "Bhikkhus" refers to gently admonishing and causing them to return before performing karma. To grasp correctly (the point) say.

The so-called "acting" refers to using the mind. The so-called "attachment" is because it manifests clinging and does not change. The so-called "together" means being the same in Dharma and material enjoyment, or living together by giving each other faith and other things. The so-called "universal joy" means rejoicing in the increase of good deeds, or rejoicing in the practice of meditation. The so-called "controversy" means that wrong views should be abandoned. The so-called "one-pointedness" means that the mind does not change to other things and should be able to endure. The so-called "recitation" refers to reciting the Pratimoksha Sutra, and not making distinctions is one. The so-called "mixing water and milk" means respecting and serving each other and proclaiming. The so-called "in order to make the teacher's teachings flourish" means not competing with others, and the Blessed One expounds the scriptures, explains or explains and reveals, and it will flourish. Thus, the scriptures flourish, the disciples and Sangha, may you live happily in this life. And how is it happy? The body is happy, and the mind is touch. If you do not listen when you are advised, you will make a mistake. If you are advised by the business of prayer and report, if you cannot stop it, it is a triple sin and a Sanghavasesa. The so-called two or three times means that if it is too little, some scattered people do not understand, and if it is too much, it will take a long time. The so-called advising according to the Dharma means introducing good Dharma. The so-called teaching according to the Dharma means preventing from non-virtue. If you want to break up the Sangha and lure other people's dependents, you will commit a serious crime. If the Sangha gathers and does not act according to the Dharma, there is no sin even if the words are finished. If you act according to the Dharma, there is no downfall even if you gather. Even if you gather, there is no sin in advising with the image of the Dharma. If the Sangha gathers and advises according to the teacher's teachings and laws, it will become a Sanghavasesa. If you do not confess and confess your sins well, you will enter and live in the Sangha, and everything will be wrong. The origin of following is the same as the previous one. After that, the Blessed One sat on that seat, thinking of formulating the precepts of following.
