pa'o. The so-called Sangha Lhag-ma is said to be Sangha Lhag-ma because it depends on the Sangha. What will become a fault? If it is built in an unsuitable place, it will become a gross offense. If it is built with disputes, it will become a gross offense. If it is built without spaciousness, it will become a gross offense. If it is built without permission, it will become a gross offense. If it is built beyond measure, it will become a gross offense. If it is built contrary to everything, it will become Sangha Lhag-ma. If a monk advises another monk to build because there are no five faults, if it is built contrary to everything, the builder will be at fault. If it is not completed after building contrary to everything, or if it is done halfway and abandoned, it will become a gross offense. Giving precepts will also become Sangha Lhag-ma. The limbs are not spacious, not suitable, contentious, not without permission, and if it exceeds the limit, it will become Lhag-ma. The basis of the monastery is that the Buddha, the Bhagavan, was staying in the garden of Dgra-zin in the country of Kausambi. At that time, the six groups of monks, as if they were living in a monastery built by others, happily said, "Friend, dear friend, look! This is broken, this is old, this wall is not well built," and they began to ridicule the monastery built by others. Then the monks said, "If you yourselves cannot even raise a single brick, why ridicule what others have built?" The six groups discussed among themselves, "Those with black bowls despise us very much. Let us build a house that they have not built before. If we all build it, they will not be able to ridicule us. Let one of us who can pass the yoke through the eye of a needle do it." Then they trusted the venerable Mos-pa-can. Mos-pa-can thought, "If there is no one else, I will try to entice a rich and stingy Brahmin in this city who does not even give alms to crows, who is not faithful, and who has not made anyone his patron." Thinking this, Mos-pa-can took some flour begged from another city and went to the door of that Brahmin, and the door was...

gave. While his gatekeeper was distracted by music, he went inside and entrusted the grinding of flour to a Brahmin. The Brahmin had a maid grind the flour, saying, "Gather here with me." While she was grinding there, she was deeply contemplating. The Brahmin asked, "What are you contemplating?" She replied, "I am contemplating whether there is life in it. If there is, what should I do?" From there, they began to talk, and she explained the ten virtues of not killing, which made the Brahmin believe. After that, the Brahmin was afraid that if he offered food and clothing to that monk, he would close the door in the future, so he could not accept it. Then, that monk explained the benefits of doing good deeds, and the Brahmin asked, "Then what kind of things should I do?" He replied, "You should build a monastery for the Sangha." The Brahmin said, "Then I will provide the materials, but there is no land." He replied, "I will ask the king for the land." He asked, "Who will do the work?" He replied, "I will do it." After that, he requested land from the king, and the king said, "Except for around the palace, build wherever you like." After that, between कौशाम्बी (Sanskrit Devanagari: kauśāmbī, Sanskrit Romanization: kauśāmbī, Literal Chinese meaning: Kaushambi) and དགྲ་ཟིན་ (modern place name: unknown), there were about five hundred sons of Brahmins, and there was a large tree where they regularly recited mantras. Those sons of Brahmins often ridiculed the group of six monks wandering around, so to make fun of them, they cut down the big tree at night and made it disappear. The next day, they finished building the temple, without making any windows. The next day, it rained heavily, and the house was about to collapse, so the Brahmins were unhappy and even vomited blood. The Blessed One knew this, and that night, accompanied by the gods, he taught the Dharma until dusk. The next day, the Brahmin's father came, and the Blessed One went to greet him, saying, "Last night, the Dharma was taught in the house like this." He was also pleased because of this. Because the big tree was cut down, the sons of the Brahmins slandered, saying that the practitioners of the Shakya clan were unruly, abusive, and harmful to others. The monks heard these things. The Blessed One rebuked the group of six monks in various ways, saying that they were unlawful and inappropriate. He gathered the monastic community of monks, for the purpose of discipline.
