A year is divided into three seasons: winter, summer, and spring. From the end of autumn month to the beginning of spring month is winter, which is very cold. From the beginning of spring month to the middle of summer month is spring, which is a warm season. From the middle of summer month to the end of autumn month is summer, which is moderately cold and warm. The mention of spring here is only to indicate the proximity. When observing the precepts, it should be stated which season's month it is, and how much has passed. For example, fifteen days of the beginning of spring month have passed, and one day is short of half a month, just like four days have come, it should be stated like this when observing the precepts. How much has passed and how much remains should also be stated in the same way. The reason for saying "how much" is that there is no certainty about the past and the future, so it is said "how much." This can be used as an antidote to not striving for good deeds and being proud of time. To counteract pride in greatness, joy and the imminent arrival of death are mentioned, and so on. Why are other limbs of existence, such as sorrow, not mentioned here, but only old age and death? Because this is the occasion for describing the complete decay of the main cause of making the Brahmacharya perfect. There are two causes that lead to decay: the body and the place of birth. The decay of the body is old age and death. Old age means that even if a part of the Sutra Pitaka taught by the Blessed One still exists in the world, the body cannot bear it, cannot be competent, cannot endure the attack of old age, cannot practice and strive, and thus is far from the Brahmacharya. Death means the cessation of the continuum of the five aggregates, so that good deeds cannot be practiced, and thus one is far from the Brahmacharya. Therefore, the decay of the place of birth is called holding the teacher's doctrine, and holding the doctrine refers to the decay of practitioners, holders, and narrators. Therefore, as time passes, being harmed by old age and death, the Dharma of the Sutra Pitaka is also destroyed, so it is said to be diligent in mindfulness. The teacher is to truly reveal

The respectful one is the Thus Come One. The teaching is the twelve divisions of scripture. Diligence in explaining and teaching to the world, including gods and humans, is the yoga of incorporating virtue, which is the meaning of incorporating the path beyond the world. The union of tranquility and insight, the path of walking is called yoga. What is the fruit obtained by such diligence? The Buddha's Bodhi and virtuous dharmas are also obtained through diligence, therefore the Bhagavan said that diligence is yoga. The Thus Come One is the one who truly understands and proclaims, hence the name Thus Come One. Having completely vanquished all the enemies of afflictions, and being worthy of offering by all beings, hence the name Arhat. Perfect and complete enlightenment refers to the perfection of what should be truly known. The mind of Bodhi refers to mindfulness and abiding closely, etc. The above is the end of the scripture. Now, what should the Sangha do first? From "what to do" to "few things to do", it is to be explained that it is not allowed not to gather in the nine situations. What should the Sangha do first, is a question and investigation-like word, or it can also be a word similar to nothing. If it is said in the form of a question, it is to do cleaning etc. in the place of doing Uposatha, as well as sprinkling, mandala and laying cushions etc., these should be done first. If it is said in the word of nothing, the Shravaka Sangha has few things to do, and few things to do, if the individual's door cleaning etc. is not done beforehand, there will be disharmony when the Sangha gathers, therefore what is the use of paying special attention and cherishing the Uposatha? Or, the Uposatha is something to be done later, and cannot be omitted, therefore there is nothing to do before the Uposatha, this is the conclusion. Shravaka means hearing from others, so it is Shravaka, because it arises depending on others. What is it like? For example, after hearing from the Khenpo and Acharya, at the end of the three completions, it is said that you are a Bhikshu, a Shramana, just like this is established, therefore it arises depending on others, so it is Shravaka. The meaning is.
