If that (Sangha) is reduced by one precept, then for the sake of the all-knowing Kaundinya, add another precept. If that (Sangha) is increased by many precepts, then arguing according to the Dharma can be pacified, and whoever incites the argument will fall. If that (Sangha) is increased by many non-Dharma precepts, then non-Dharma can also be pacified, and if inciting the argument, it is also a fault. Therefore, disputes can be pacified by promulgating many precepts. For disputes that are not manifested, they should be pacified in three ways: just like disputes caused by quarrels, one should bestow present pacification, mindfulness pacification, and non-intoxicated pacification. Present pacification is similar to what was said before. Bestowing mindfulness pacification is, for the wealthy son Nanda, the monks accused him of committing a Parajika offense, and blamed him for this, and he said, "I don't remember doing this." So ask him, "Do you remember? Don't you remember?" Let him think in his heart, and then bestow mindfulness pacification through both petition and karma. Bestowing non-intoxicated pacification is, for example, when the monk Bhiyama is drunk, he does not remember what he has done, so allow him, from the time he is sober, to repent for the sins he committed before, and think about the moment he is sober, this is bestowing non-intoxicated pacification through both petition and karma. If you blame him when he is unwilling, that is not blaming him according to the Dharma. For disputes of offenses, they should be pacified in four ways: present pacification, admission pacification, seeking self-nature pacification, and like spreading grass pacification. Among them, present pacification is, starting from where Rohitassa, the son of deer enemy, abandoned, refute, answer, and act according to the Dharma, it should be done in the present. Admission pacification is, if you have done something wrong, whether the other party blames you or not, you can pacify it by repenting and confessing according to the Dharma. Seeking self-nature pacification is, for example, for the monk Hatthaka, he repeatedly goes crazy and admits his sins, but the object of the sin has not been determined, and it is impossible to determine what it is, therefore, determine what it is, and bestow the pacification of seeking self-nature. Pacification like spreading grass is, dispute
