To sit without crossing the legs means that the Six Groups of monks were sitting with their legs crossed, and the laypeople ridiculed them, saying, 'These noble ones sit like spiders and reed seedlings, it's so undignified!' Therefore, after hearing these ridicules, the Buddha stipulated: 'In the homes of laypeople, one should not sit with legs crossed.' To sit without crossing the thighs means that the Six Groups of monks were sitting with their thighs crossed, and the laypeople also ridiculed them in the same way, saying, 'It's so undignified!' Therefore, after hearing these ridicules, the Buddha stipulated: 'The laypeople's ridicule is reasonable, and in the village, they should be taught not to sit with their thighs crossed.' Not placing one ankle on top of the other means that the Six Groups of monks were sitting with one ankle placed on top of the other, and the laypeople said, 'These noble ones sit like gamblers and reed seedlings, it's so undignified!' Therefore, after hearing these ridicules, the Buddha stipulated: 'The laypeople's ridicule is reasonable, and in the homes of laypeople, they should be taught not to place one ankle on top of the other.' Not sitting with legs bent means that the Six Groups of monks were sitting with their legs bent, and when the female lay devotees prostrated, they did not say 'May you be free from illness.' The female lay devotees asked, 'Why don't you say 'May we be free from illness'?' They replied, 'You have not prostrated to our legs.' The female lay devotees then prostrated to their legs, and they then measured the women's buttocks with their canes, saying, 'Look how big these buttocks are!' The female lay devotees felt ashamed and sat silently. After hearing these things, the Buddha stipulated: 'In the village, one should not sit with legs bent.' Not sitting with legs spread apart means that the Six Groups of monks were sitting with their legs spread apart, and when the female lay devotees prostrated, they did not fully say 'May you be free from illness.' The female lay devotees asked, 'Why don't the noble ones say it?' They replied, 'You have not prostrated to our legs.' The female lay devotees then prostrated to their legs again, and they then measured the buttocks with their canes, and after hearing these ridicules, the Buddha stipulated: 'One should not sit with legs spread apart.'

Then Living in the village, and because they lived naked, the Brahmins and householders ridiculed them. Hearing this, in order to not expose their genitals, they were to live in the village, and this rule was established. The story of "receiving food well" is as follows: In the region of Sbaldkar, Prince Realizer built a palace painted with one hundred and one colors of lotus on the ground. There, he invited the monastic community for a meal. The prince himself had faith in the Dharma, but his attendants did not. When they poured food, they spilled it, causing the bowls to break, and the group of six monks disliked this. When pouring rice and vegetables, because the bowls were full, they spilled the vegetables on the ground. They said, "The palace painted with one hundred and one colors by the noble Prince Realizer has become inauspicious." The group of six monks said, "Miser, if you think it's inauspicious, then what should be done with the bowls of these monks?" Hearing this, the training rule of "receiving food well" was established. The story of "not receiving continuously" is as follows: The group of six monks filled their bowls at Realizer's house, and they asked, "Where should we pour the vegetables?" They replied, "Pour it right there." After pouring, they said, "You have made the palace inauspicious." Realizer said, "You are also attached to this, so you will become hungry ghosts." They were unhappy and ridiculed, and hearing this, the Buddha taught, "Do not receive food continuously," and established this training rule. The story of "not receiving together with vegetables" is as follows: The group of six monks arrived at Realizer's house. If they were given vegetables first, they would fill their bowls. Later, when rice was given, they poured it into the same bowl, and because it didn't fit, it spilled, so the householders ridiculed them, saying the house was inauspicious. Hearing this, the Buddha taught, "Do not receive together with vegetables," and established this training rule. The story of "receiving food in order" is as follows: When the group of six monks were eating, they didn't take vegetables. Later, after a long time, they called out and asked for vegetables, causing the vegetables to be mixed up. Hearing this, the Buddha taught, "Receive food in order," and established this rule. The story of "looking at the bowl while eating" is as follows: While in Shravasti, a householder
