I heard with my ear faculty. "Holding" means understanding with wisdom. "Remembering" means not forgetting, using mindfulness to recite it, etc., not forgetting for a long time. "Practicing" means for that meaning, diligently practicing and acting with body, speech, and mind. "Difficult to obtain" is related to the metaphor of kalpas. The difficulty lies in that even if one hears it, it is extremely difficult to keep it in mind. Compared to remembering, it is extremely difficult to remember and become familiar with it. Compared to remembering, it is even more difficult to practice and act, that is, it is extremely rare, thus it is shown. Practicing is like the venerable Ananda, even for extremely small misdeeds, he confesses with his life, and with great effort, through great accumulation of merit and diligence, he can obtain it, since it is said like this, what else needs to be said? On the other hand, there are the wisdoms of hearing, thinking, and meditating. It is extremely rare to be diligent with the three wisdoms, thus it is shown. Hearing is related to the wisdom of hearing. Holding and remembering are both related to the wisdom of thinking. Practicing is related to the wisdom of meditating. Up to this point, the praise of the Dharma has been shown. In order to show that the appearance of the Three Jewels is happiness, "The Buddhas" etc. are said. The meaning of the word Buddha is the same as what was said before. Slightly different is that those who have clairvoyance and are famous in the world, such as the righteous man Pininggiri and Anggiri, cannot generate the wisdom of the Tathagata, so the word "Buddha" is used in this way. "Appearing happily" means that the Buddha descends from the heaven of clear light into the mother's womb, like a white elephant, on the right side of the womb, without being contaminated by the impurities of the womb, and when he is born, the four great kings such as Juxingzang, and five hundred sons of ministers are born together, those have the suffering of the womb, but the Tathagata has no suffering, is not contaminated by impurities, is separated from them, so staying in the womb is also great happiness. On the other hand, when descending from the heaven of clear light, many rays of light emanate from the mouth.

Having arisen from there, the rays of light touched sentient beings in hell and other places, causing those hell beings to dispel such thoughts and generate faith, thinking that only a person of great power could emit light, thus appearing as if liberated from suffering. The deaf could hear, the blind could see, and food, drink, and desires were obtained as desired. Therefore, the appearance of the Buddha is the cause of happiness in the world, so it is said that the appearance of the Buddha is extremely happy. Or, "The appearance of the Buddha is happiness," because when the Bodhisattva manifests complete enlightenment, he possesses all the most excellent fruits of liberation, so it is said that the appearance of the Buddha is happiness. Some may argue that when one has not yet manifested complete Buddhahood, and when one is conceived and born in the womb, if one is a Bodhisattva, why say, "The appearance of the Buddha is happiness"? On the other hand, it is unreasonable for the Tathagata to say "birth," "appearance," and "entering the womb." Why? Because the afflictions of birth have been destroyed, and one has transcended samsara. There is no fault in this, because at that time it is not yet the Tathagata, but a Bodhisattva, but this is spoken of by attributing the effect to the cause. For example, in the world, a weaver who has not yet finished weaving cloth is still said to be "weaving cloth," cooking rice is also said to be "cooking rice," and grinding barley is also said to be "grinding flour." Although it has not yet become that, those things that are about to appear, attributing the effect to the cause is possible, so although at that time it is a Bodhisattva, later he will manifest complete Buddhahood, so there is no fault in saying this. Teaching the Dharma is happiness, because by teaching and explaining the Dharma of the twelve divisions of scripture in the world, various heretical views such as externalists are abandoned and refuted, and the Dharma of the scriptures flourishes and abides for a long time, so it is said that teaching the Dharma is happiness. Sangha refers to the eight great persons, etc., and is a term for a gathering of four or more. Their harmony is in discipline, view, and conduct.
