I (here is a modal particle). The sutra of learning is always like being mentioned. The rules about wearing robes and skirts are that when the Buddha lived on the mountain where the immortals of the city of wheels (Shambhala) resided, there were five bhikshus who were first ordained, but their way of wearing robes was no different from that of lay people, just like what lay people did. They thought that the way the past Buddhas taught was like this. When the Buddha lived in the monastery, the gods of the desire realm prayed that the behavior of those monks was like the gods of the Pure Abodes. Therefore, it was stipulated to wear them in a round and complete way. One should learn to wear the skirt in a round and complete way. It should not be too long, not like an elephant's trunk, not like a palm tree head, not like a pile of barley, not like the crest of a snake's head. One should learn to wear the skirt. Like these, the rules were made after the six groups of monks violated them. Too short should not be higher than the knees, too long should not be lower than the ankles. Elephant's trunk means that neither of the first two ends should be stretched. Palm leaf means that the beginning of the left or right side of the skirt should be folded into many pleats, tucked under the left belt below the waist, and the beginning should not be like a tumor on the top of the head. Barley pile means that the beginning of the right side of the skirt should not be tucked into the belt. Snake head means that the edge of the skirt that exceeds the belt should not be raised like a snake head. The robe should not be too short or too long, one should learn to wear it in a round and complete way. The six groups of monks violated these three rules before these rules were made. Round and complete means that there is no high or low, so it cannot be too short. Too long is like a skirt, it should be worn very neatly, without making a sound, without closing your eyes, looking like a yoke, and then you can go to other people's homes. The six groups of monks did the opposite of these things before the rules were made. Very neat means do not bend your hands and feet and look ugly. Wearing it properly means do not roll up the robe and hold it in your hand or put it on your shoulder. Do not speak in a low voice, do not close your eyes, if you really encounter a mad elephant, you will fall in an unclean place.

Like an ox. (In order) to allow harmful beings to see the yoke, (the Buddha) said to look from the tip of the toes all the way up to the yoke. One should learn not to cover the head, not to be partial, not to lean, not to cross at the neck, and not to lean on both shoulders. These six actions are prohibited, that is, prohibiting actions contrary to these six actions: not covering the head, that is, not covering the head with the Dharma robe; not being partial, that is, not being partial downwards from one side; not leaning, that is, not separating and draping over the shoulders; not crossing at the neck, that is, both the left and right sides of the Dharma robe are draped over the neck, not crossing at the neck; not leaning on both shoulders, this is the literal meaning. One should learn not to puff out the chest, not to measure, not to jump, not to squat, and not to lean on the waist when entering a house. These six actions are prohibited, that is, prohibiting actions contrary to these six actions: not puffing out the chest, that is, not walking on tiptoes; not measuring, that is, not measuring with footsteps; not jumping, that is, not jumping in any situation; not squatting, that is, not walking squatting like a woman. Not leaning on the waist, this is the literal meaning. One should learn not to shake the body, not to bend the arms, not to turn the head, not to shrug the shoulders, and not to cross the arms when entering a house. These six actions are prohibited, that is, prohibiting actions contrary to these six actions: not shaking the body, that is, not twisting and shaking inappropriately; not bending the arms, that is, not bending the arms. Not turning the head, that is, not turning the head like an elephant or a crow. Not shrugging the shoulders, that is, previously when the six groups of monks entered the village, they encountered a person who was smeared with spices and ornaments, and the six groups of monks shrugged their shoulders and said, "Do you think only you have wealth?", and then pushed each other, therefore it is prohibited. Not crossing the arms, that is, previously when the six groups of monks entered the village, they encountered a person like a servant, they crossed their arms, and as a result they were pushed down by those people, therefore it is prohibited. One should learn not to sit on a cushion in a house without permission. Not checking the cushion, not pressing down with the weight of the whole body, not crossing the legs, not crossing the thighs,
