If one lies down, one will commit a downfall. Its affliction is disbelief. Furthermore, if a bhikshu causes someone to be frightened, even if he only thinks of doing it as a game, he will commit a downfall. When the Buddha was dwelling in Shravasti, the bhikshu 'char bas caused the seventeen groups to do work, but they were unable to complete it, so they went elsewhere to study recitation. 'char bas turned his wool inside out at night, blew out the lamp, and said, "Ghost, ghost." The bhikshus with few desires rebuked him for this. Whether one threatens with bodily limbs, or threatens with sounds and words, or threatens with an ugly form, if one threatens with various unpleasant ways, whether the other person is afraid or not, one will commit a downfall. If one threatens pleasant people and practitioners, one commits a misdeed. If one threatens in order to cause aversion, there is no fault. Its affliction is disbelief. Furthermore, if a bhikshu hides or causes someone to hide the bowl, Dharma robe, bowl bag, drinking vessel, belt, or any of the practitioner's living utensils of a bhikshu, bhikshuni, shramanera, or shramanerika, unless there is a special reason, he will commit a downfall. When the Buddha was dwelling in Shravasti, a householder invited the Sangha. On the way to go, there was a pond full of water. The Six Groups of bhikshus said to the Seventeen Groups, "Let's see who can hold their breath and dive the longest." So they dived as before, counting the number of breaths. At that time, the Six Groups of bhikshus hid their clothes and went ahead. Afterwards, Shariputra and Maudgalyayana came there, and Shariputra said, "Teacher, look at your perfect disciples." Maudgalyayana saw with his magical eye where the clothes were hidden, took them out, and put them on them. That's how it happened. Few desires

When the Buddha was residing in Rajagriha, the elder Ananda, being old, distributed the robes to each of his disciples. Then, the disciples went to the shade of Sangye to prepare for a journey. They marked the sewn robes with symbols and informed the abbot. After that, Ananda wore some of the sewn robes, washed them, and put them back in the box. Later, the disciples returned and said, "Look, these robes were distributed by the abbot." He said, "Miser, you shouldn't be so unhappy." Therefore, the rule was established because of the criticism of a monk with few desires: If a monk wears too thick clothes without the confidence of no conflict, he will commit a downfall. Hearing it will be joyful, and if one wears clothes that do not cause conflict, there is no fault. Affliction is disbelief. Furthermore, if an angry and displeased monk accuses a pure and innocent monk with a Sanghadisesa offense, he will commit a downfall. When the Buddha was residing in Rajagriha, near a pond called Stone Enclosure on Vulture Peak Mountain, the venerable Kalodayin was wandering. The nun Utpalavarna, having newly shaved her hair, came to pay homage. Because of the wind, Kalodayin's penis touched the head of the venerable one. This was seen by the monk friend and Sachi. Even if the rest of the physical contact did not occur, if any monk digs the ground with his own hand or causes others to dig, he will commit a downfall. When the Buddha was residing in Shravasti, the group of six monks dug the ground with their own hands and damaged it. They had others dig, plowed the land, and similarly had others do the same, so they were criticized by the heretics, and the rule was established: Digging clay, and naturally existing earth, or digging half earth and half stone, or digging something like half sand and half earth, will cause a downfall. Digging earth grease will cause a downfall. Peeling from cracks, or digging earth burned by fire, or digging trampled earth, will cause a minor offense. Driving stakes into the ground and walls will cause a downfall, pulling them out will cause a minor offense. Meaninglessly digging or drawing on earthen walls will cause a minor offense. Digging heavy things will cause a downfall, digging edges will cause a minor offense. Taking away a container placed on the edge will cause a minor offense. Demolishing dry walls, or peeling off thin plaster will cause a downfall. Demolishing completed walls, or peeling off broken parts will cause a minor offense.

There is no offense in digging sand and gravel-like things without water. If invited for four months, take possession of the bhikshu. If you take possession of more than that, you will fall into offense. Unless it is a separate invitation, a timely invitation, and a permanent invitation. That is the time for that. When the Buddha was dwelling in the city of Kapilavastu, a man named Shakya Mingchen invited the Buddha and his retinue and offered various items for four months. Then, for four months, he offered medicine, food, Dharma robes, and so on as desired, and as soon as four months were over, the Buddha and his retinue departed. Thus, at the time of four months, the six groups of bhikshus said that they wanted to eat various kinds of pure meat, so in addition to eating at the wrong time, after four months had passed, Nears Delight also gathered the sangha and had animals slaughtered, but the cook did not give them, and also slandered and insulted those who had previously offered items, so the bhikshu with few affairs reported it and the rule was established. The so-called separate invitation is that at the time of four months, other patrons also invite, then it is shared, even if four months have passed. The so-called repeated invitation is like King Shape Firm Heart often inviting. The so-called timely invitation is that at the time of four months, others invite on a festival, there is no offense. The so-called permanent invitation is like King Shape Firm often inviting, even if four months have passed, there is no offense. Furthermore, if any bhikshu admonishes the bhikshus, saying, "Venerable ones, learn this precept!", if he says, "Until I ask the bhikshu who holds the sutras, the bhikshu who holds the vinaya, and the bhikshu who holds the mother, I will not learn this precept with the words of you children, fools, unintelligent, unskilled ones.", if he says that, he will fall into offense. A bhikshu who wants to know everything should also learn this precept. He should also ask the bhikshu who holds the sutras, the bhikshu who holds the vinaya, and the bhikshu who holds the mother. That is the time for that. When the Buddha was dwelling in the mango grove of the royal palace, the sangha was gathered for the sake of the Buddha's teachings, but they did not gather, so...
