After that, a maidservant of that household heard about it and told Nye-ga. Nye-ga went to the weaver and said, "This cloth is being woven for me, so weave it with a large width and without any seams." After instructing him in this way, he gave him a khada as a reward. After that, the weaver repeatedly asked the householder for more materials. After the householder looked at the cloth, he had already woven a very good piece of fine cloth. Then he said, "I won't give this to Nye-ga, I'll weave another one later and give it to him." The weaver told this to Nye-ga. Nye-ga instructed, "When I am staying in that householder's house, bring it." After that, when Nye-ga and the householder were sitting together, the weaver delivered the cloth. Nye-ga praised the cloth with verses and took it away. After that, the householder became angry. The offense of instructing the weaver, the downfall of relinquishment if obtained. If the householder initially gave the weaver, whatever materials he initially gave, if he had it woven a little better, there would be no offense. Also, if a monk gives cloth to a monk, and after that, he becomes angry, enraged, and threatening, becoming unhappy, and then snatches it back, even if he instigates the snatching, it is permissible. If the monk says, "I won't give this to you, give it back to me," and if he says that, if that monk has remaining robes, give them back. If he doesn't give them back, it is a downfall of relinquishment. When the Buddha was residing in Shravasti, the monk Nye-ga did not give the robes to the virtuous monk, and later became angry and snatched them back. Whether he snatches them back or instigates the snatching, separation from the body is a downfall of relinquishment. The actual object of the robe is not relinquished to others, but taken back from the monk to whom it was given. If it is not done in this way, it is a misdeed. In order to turn away from the unwholesome and engage in the wholesome, there is no downfall for snatching because of robbery, or because of fear that others will steal or rob. If a monk wants to obtain a garment that has been entrusted for less than ten days in the last month of autumn (September in the Tibetan calendar), the monk should go and take it. After taking it, he should wear it until the end of the road when the time for distributing robes arrives. If he wears it beyond that time, it is a downfall of relinquishment. When the Buddha was residing in Shravasti, in a beautiful monastery called Mountain Rock, there were many guides from the north.

Therefore, two monks said to the transmigrators, "We are preparing the utensils for sixty monks to enter the precepts. Please invite the Sangha." Then, a monk went to the Jetavana Monastery to invite the Sangha, and the group of six monks did not allow other monks to speak. After agreeing, the group of six and their entourage of sixty people entered the temple to receive the precepts. After obtaining the utensils for receiving the precepts, they began to receive the precepts. After arriving at the Jetavana Monastery, the Blessed One taught, "Do not divide the spoils that were not obtained from the Dharma." After that, the army of King Prasenajit offered many clothes while the Sangha was in retreat. They said, "These were not obtained from our precepts, so we cannot accept the clothes. Please put them in that room for now." So they moved them into the room. After obtaining them from the precepts, they looked and they had rotted and become like a pile of dirt. So the rule "to hide clothes" was established. If clothes obtained in the summer are hidden because they were not obtained from the precepts, or if the clothes are not hidden, it is an offense of expiation. If the donor personally brings the clothes, or if the donor says, "Please put them here for now, and I will come and offer them when it is time to distribute the clothes," then if the clothes are hidden, whatever is obtained in the summer can be accepted. While in retreat, the property commonly obtained by the Sangha should be entrusted to the person in charge of storing the bedding after being blessed with a common mantra within ten days. It will be distributed when the clothes are distributed. Property obtained by an individual can be held if it is blessed with a common mantra within ten days. Many monks know that temples are suspicious places, know that they are fearful places, know that they are frightening places, and end the summer retreat in these places. If a monk living in a temple wishes, any one of the three Dharma robes can be placed with a layperson. If a monk living in a temple has a reason to go outside the boundary, then it is acceptable for the monk living in the temple to leave the Dharma robe outside the boundary for up to six days. If it exceeds this time, it is an offense of expiation. When the Buddha was staying in Shravasti, in a mountain rock temple, sixty monks were in retreat during the harsh weather of the last month of winter.
