It was established because the red (fault) was seen by the Buddha. Washing wool, when it is a small amount, is like soaking it in water; dyeing, when it is a small amount, is like stirring it in dye. Beating, even if it is beaten once when it is a small amount, is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If one item of wool is given to three nuns, one to wash, one to dye, and one to entrust to beat, then one item is to be forfeited, and there are three offenses. If one item is given to one nun, and she is entrusted with all three tasks, it is also a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. The recognition of whether one is a relative or not is the same as what is mentioned later. Furthermore, any monk who takes a sale-sambhara with his own hand, or takes money, or causes others to take it, is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. When the Buddha was staying in Rajagriha, the monks were inspecting gold and silver, and the assembled ministers disagreed and quarreled, which was heard by the jewel on the city lord's headdress. After reporting to the Buddha, the Buddha replied that monks should not inspect gold and silver. After that, the group of six monks took and used a large amount of sale-sambhara, and were therefore blamed by others, and it was established. Gold and silver, whether marked or unmarked, are acceptable, as well as jewels, pearls, and vaiḍūrya. Taking them yourself or causing others to take them is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If you cause others to take it by implication, you commit a Dukkaṭa offense. Touching copper, iron, lead-tin, and paint is not an offense. Touching other people's gold, silver, or jewels is not a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense, only a Pacittiya offense. Things like road rations can be blessed with mantras, or offered to others, and then they can be taken. Furthermore, any monk who uses various marked items commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. When the Buddha was staying in Shravasti, a merchant came from the north and gave a solitary ascetic a wooden bowl full of fruit, and a good cloth that looked like the color of a black worm, and then let the naked ascetic's companions flaunt it in Jeta Grove. Later, the monk Nanda saw the naked ascetic wearing cloth, and after asking, the merchant said that he had offered it to me. Then, Nanda preached the Dharma to him. If your teacher's teaching says that you should walk naked, then it is not good for you to practice bad precepts at will, you should exchange the cloth with me. I will also wear it.

Saying, when walking in the village, if others ask, say that it was given by someone named "Naked One." After taking the saliva, the naked friends severed their Brahmacharya and came to take the saliva. The Buddha said that if saliva was not given, they would vomit hot blood and die, and thus the precept was established. The actual reason for the establishment of the precept is that the Six Groups of monks made a lot of profit by marking gold and silver, etc., and were criticized by the heretics, so the precept was established. If a monk sells goods in various places for profit, it is a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. Goods are gold, silver, pearls, lapis lazuli, grains, etc. It is permissible to hold things like flint and water crystal. Marking means making gold and silver into coins and marking them with patterns. In short, it is like a mark on goods. If many kinds of marks are used in this way, a Nissaggiya Pacittiya is committed. Also, if a monk engages in various buying and selling transactions, a Nissaggiya Pacittiya is committed. When the Buddha was staying in Shravasti, the Six Groups of monks did a lot of buying and selling. In times of good harvest, they bought cheap grains, and in times of bad harvest, they sold expensive grains, and were criticized by the heretics, so the precept was established. It is wrong to buy for profit, and it is a sin to sell. If it is not for profit, but for good quality, then it is wrong to buy, but there is no sin to sell. If one profits in order to seek profit, then one must give up as much profit as one has made. If one cannot distinguish between the value of the goods and the profit earned, one must give up everything. In short: Two bowls and two cloths, giving and taking, autumn harvest month small, monastery and coarse cloth, offering and placing. The summarized sutra is the same as the back. If a monk holds a bowl for more than ten days, he commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. When the Buddha was staying in Shravasti, sixty almsmen went to the garden. Nanda praised the merits of giving to one almsman and took his bowl. After that, the almsman said, if it is the best offering, I have no bowl. Nanda then took out his own bowl.
