Binding is like putting on shackles, tying with ropes, and so on. Expulsion is to make someone leave their homeland. A thief is someone who engages in the act of stealing. A child is someone who unknowingly commits a fault against unseen precepts, referring to actions in this life. A fool is someone who does not understand the faults of precepts in the future. Taking what is not given, this is like the first parajika, meaning that this person cannot abide here. Stealing results in a threefold transgression: the act of wrong-doing, the act of gross offense, and the root parajika. From the possessions belonging to others, if one attempts to seize or take them, if the property is actually taken, there is no offense. If it is merely touched, it is an act of wrong-doing. If it is treated like livestock, from herds, flocks to the boundary of the pasture, it is a gross offense. If it is completely appropriated, it is a parajika. Furthermore, if any bhikshu intentionally intends to kill a person or a fetus, or gives him a weapon, or keeps a weapon for him, or persuades him to die, or praises death, for example, saying, "Alas, you person, what is the point of this sinful and impure act, this wretched existence? Alas, you person, it is better to die than to live." Saying this to him, or repeatedly contemplating with hatred, using various methods to persuade him to die, or praising death, if that person dies as a result, then this bhikshu also commits a parajika and cannot stay. When the Buddha was staying in the land of Vrji, a bhikshu practiced contemplation on impurity, and because he was disgusted with the impurity of the body, he had a wealthy bhikshu kill him. The wealthy bhikshu, in order to discard his robes and bowl, cut off the head of that bhikshu. While washing the sword on the bank of the Joyful River, a deity of the demon race came to him and praised him, saying, "Venerable one, you have cut off the head of the bhikshu for the benefit of sentient beings, for their happiness and liberation from suffering, which is excellent, and you have also obtained robes and a bowl." The wealthy bhikshu thought that he had done a very good thing, and so he began to kill bhikshus. After killing sixty bhikshus, during the posadha ceremony, the sangha was incomplete, so the Buddha established this precept. Person

The rule about abortion is: The merchant Great Strength's sons were the two brothers, Sdepa and Nyedepa. The elder brother, Sdepa, went to trade and did not return for many years. The younger brother, Nyedepa, abused his sister-in-law, and while she was pregnant, a letter arrived that the elder brother was returning, so Nyedepa became a monk. While he was living in Jeta Grove, Nyedepa's friend, a spice merchant, came. He said, "I have prepared medicine, send it to your sister-in-law, and if she takes a small amount, it will cause an abortion." Nyedepa thought it would be good to do so, but did not answer. The spice merchant pretended that it was sent by Nyedepa, and fed the pregnant woman an abortive medicine, causing an abortion, therefore the rule was established. The later rule was established when the Buddha was staying in Shravasti. King Prasenajit sent the minister Holy Born to capture wild people, and he captured sixty wild people. The king cut off their hands and feet and threw them into the cemetery. The nun Kyongma thought, "If I could help these suffering wild people to pass away sooner, it would be great merit." So she took enough roots and sixty sour porridges, and fed the sixty wild people roots that were drugged with mother salt, causing them to die, therefore the rule was established. The rule about carrying weapons and killing people is: A monk named Headscarf, who had ordained from a householder, was suffering from illness and living there. A monk named Beak, who had ordained from a hunter, summoned his hunter nephew and sent him, saying, "Listen to that sick monk's words." The two hunter brothers went to the sick monk Headscarf. The patient instructed, "My friend Beak also told you to listen to my words. Now, if you two want me to be reborn in heaven, cut off my head." The two of them cut off his head and put it in a felt hat. The monk Beak saw it when he returned and was very angry, and reported it to the Blessed One, therefore the rule was established. The general principle of killing has four elements: being a human being, having the intention to kill, carrying it out, and the cessation of the life force. Possessing these four elements, and killing any of the three types of people, will result in a Parajika offense. There are two types of Parajika offenses: those committed because of wealth and those not committed because of wealth.
