By giving and not causing sorrow in many places, subdue those who should be subdued, give many standards and make it a single continuum, that dispute will be pacified. That which is called causing to seek its own nature, if someone speaks with a person who has fallen into transgression, remembering the transgression, promises before the Sangha, and then speaks below it. If it is not distinguished, then by the fault of its own nature, it is the one who has fallen into transgression. The Sangha, with the request and the four actions, gives what is in accordance with seeking its own nature, gives the conduct practiced by those who dwell in other places, and by that, causes the nature of the transgression that should be subdued to be sought. Giving what causes to seek its own nature, and applying it to those who hold it firmly, by giving, that dispute will be pacified. That which is called like spreading grass, what is the dispute and commotion due to transgression connected with all the Sangha? If not a single assembly of monks is left out, all the monks dwell separately in this direction and the other direction and become commotion. Here, the Sangha from both sides, like spreading grass, inclines the mind like facing heads. In this place, whatever transgression arises for you, and whatever transgression arises for us as well, confess before the venerable ones, without concealing the words of our joy, and by speaking the name and type of transgression, make manifest the knowledge of the nature of transgression in others, etc. To those who should be made of one mind, give like spreading grass and by removing, that dispute will be pacified. What should be promised is, what is the dispute and commotion due to transgression without removing the increase? The monks dwell separately in this direction and the other direction, those who should be separated should speak. If only the two speakers have commotion, and there is no commotion for anyone else, here, what the speaker has spoken, to those who should promise to speak, by promising and removing, that dispute will be pacified. Now, from the four causes of dispute, the four disputes that arise, those, when to speak with the seven dharmas that pacify dispute, with what and when to pacify. Here, the first cause of dispute, the four of things
