With attendants such as the peg (Tibetan: ཕུར་བ་), disputes arising from the cause of action are subdued by direct pacification; whatever is pacified by making the continuum one through the giving of many standards, and others are abandoned without cause, for a bhikkhu without offense, arguing without basis, and arguing by the power of following others, and arguing without relying on purification, and arguing because of what was done by madness, etc., with attendants, disputes arising from the cause of action are subdued by mindful pacification; and pacifying with non-madness, pacifying by giving purity, whatever arises from this; and when knowing that there is an offense, from the offense itself due to the fault of one's own nature, the unrestrained turmoil, and the two kinds of purification, the short-lived turmoil, and the turmoil related to all the Sangha, etc., with attendants, From the cause, disputes and promises should be made, and by direct pacification, and whatever arises from pacification by purification like spreading grass; and when not knowing, from the offense itself due to the fault of one's own nature, in accordance with seeking its own nature, giving and practicing the conduct of residing in another place, etc., with attendants, disputes arising from the cause of action, because it has entered into seeking its own nature, therefore giving the determination of giving, whatever arises, these are called disputes for the sake of action. Thus, the turmoil arising from not giving what is in accordance with the action, this dispute for the sake of action, all disputes for the sake of distribution, and disputes for the sake of not admonishing, and all disputes for the sake of offense, also arise in the object through the door of those causes, and pacifying them, also with the seven dharmas for pacifying disputes, as mentioned above, as appropriate, making the continuum one, and giving purity, and purification, and the order of giving the determination of giving, causing the giving of what is in accordance with the path to be pacified. Here, the scriptures state that all pacification is introduced as disputes for the sake of action, as it is said. Thus, from the fourth cause of turmoil, not giving what is in accordance with the action, it is known that the fourth arising of turmoil is the dispute for the sake of action.

This should be done. Thus, to pacify the four disputes arising from the four causes of disputes, there are seven dharmas: settling in the presence, settling by memory, settling without delusion, giving many judgments, causing to enter into the search for that nature, like spreading grass, and promising. Among them, the so-called settling in the presence means that one should speak before the impartial, and the speaker and those who follow them, for the words of debate and response, whatever should be settled in the presence, giving settling in the presence, making one lineage, then the dispute will be pacified. The so-called settling by memory means that for a monk who has memory, whatever is said to be without fault, the Sangha, with a request and four actions, gives settling by memory. After giving it, other monks regard that monk as having memory, and do not regard him as having fallen, thus, for those who should be settled, giving settling by memory, giving purity, then the dispute will be pacified. The so-called settling without delusion means that for a monk who is not deluded, whatever is said to be without fault, the Sangha, with a request and four actions, gives settling without delusion. After giving it, other monks regard that monk as abiding in his own nature, and do not regard him as having fallen, thus, for those who should be settled, giving settling without delusion, giving purity, then the dispute will be pacified. The so-called giving many judgments means that for the various determinations of the Dharma, there are various determinations of the laws of governance, but there is none for governance. For the Dharma and the Vinaya and the teachings of the Teacher, the true nature of things in the various determinations of the Dharma, the dispute arising from the inverted establishment, in order to spread the dispute, it is not possible to pacify it by making one lineage with settling in the presence, the debater and the counter-debater, regarding the dispute as cherished, as extremely superior, as unbearable, as the meaning of not being settled, for this, then the Sangha of four appoints a monk to measure and judge, for the various judgments of Dharma and non-Dharma.
