Bad is lowness, and good is highness, it should be known. Here, the excellent lineage of the scriptures says, "Those are on good seats listening to the Dharma, and I am on a bad seat teaching the Dharma." The Blessed One said, "The Dharma should not be taught in that way." If it is said, "For one who is not ill walking in front, one should walk behind and not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way," it means that for a listener who is not ill walking in front, a monk should walk behind and not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. For one who is not ill walking on the road, one should walk on the side of the road and not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. It means that for a listener who is not ill walking on the road, a monk should walk on the side of the road and not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. For one who is not ill with their head covered, reversed, tilted, with their neck crossed in front, with their neck crossed in back, one should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. It means that for a listener who is not ill with their head covered, reversed, tilted, with their neck crossed in front, with their neck crossed in back, a monk should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. The characteristics of these five, previously, the five types such as head covering, have already been explained in the previous order. For one who is not ill with their hair in a topknot, wearing a hat, with a crest on their head, with a garland on their head, with their head wrapped, one should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. It means that for a listener who is not ill with their hair in a topknot, wearing a hat, with a crest on their head, with a garland on their head, with their head wrapped, a monk should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. For one who is not ill riding an elephant, riding a horse, sitting in a palanquin, sitting on a mount, wearing shoes, one should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. It means that for a listener who is not ill riding an elephant, riding a horse, sitting in a palanquin, sitting on a mount, wearing shoes, a monk should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. For one who is not ill holding a cane in their hand, holding an umbrella in their hand, holding a weapon in their hand, holding a sword in their hand, holding a weapon in their hand, wearing armor, one should not speak the Dharma, one should train in this way. It means that for a listener who is not ill holding a cane in their hand, holding an umbrella in their hand

And to those holding weapons, those holding swords, those holding enemy weapons, and those wearing armor, monks should not teach the Dharma; they should train in this way. Here, the establishment of the actual transgressions of these is that if one does not train in this way in the actual situation, it becomes the basis for a confession of wrongdoing. The agents of these are the listeners, the monks, and the nature of Dharma. The limbs of these are each single, namely the accomplishment of the actual. In the preparations and the accomplishments of the preparations of the preparations, etc., one should reproach as appropriate, as before. One should train not to teach the Dharma while standing to one who is not ill and sitting. From this point up to here, all are brief instructions on training to respect the Dharma, and their elaborations should be connected in this way. On top of the previous eight trainings and two roots, twenty-six are added here, making a total of one hundred and eight. Summary: The four types of illness, etc. The sutra summarizing the trainings as spoken is: One who is not ill should not stand to urinate or defecate; one should train in this way. One who is not ill should not urinate or defecate in water, and should not discard saliva, mucus, vomit, or phlegm; one should train in this way. One who is not ill should not urinate or defecate in a place where there is green grass, and should not discard saliva, mucus, vomit, or phlegm; one should train in this way. Unless harm occurs, one should not climb a tree higher than the height of a person; one should train in this way. Among these, the basis for the training that one who is not ill should not stand to urinate or defecate is: The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was dwelling in Jeta Grove in Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti (舍衛城). When the venerable Nanda was standing and urinating and defecating, he was seen by Brahmins and faithful householders who reproached him, saying: The Shravakas who are shown by the noble ones are ashamed, but how can this shameless Shravaka stand and urinate and defecate? At that time, the monks reported this to the Bhagavan, and the Bhagavan spoke thus: Therefore, my Shravakas should recite the basis of training in discipline in this way: One who is not ill should not stand to urinate or defecate; one should train in this way. Thus, he made the enactment.
