Having gone to the Sangha, one should also announce to those residing in places such as dwellings. In this way, having prostrated to those monks, squatting next to the elders, with palms joined, one should say the following: Venerable ones, we should each confess the inappropriate grounds for reproach, namely, the nun taking food and returning it, or allowing unauthorized taking of food without arranging in order, or eating without preventing it, or breaking the precepts and entering lay life, or the grounds for individual confession arising from observing the forest, saying that so-and-so by name and family has produced this Dharma, one should say it once. This is the manner of reciting lamentations, therefore it is said to be individually confessed, but it is not a matter for confession. Thereafter, confession should be made as a monk confesses a downfall before a monk. Thus, because a downfall has occurred, it is said that confession should be made before one person, which is the same. The adjustment made for individual confession is like that. The matter of individual confession for a nun taking food, the first item has been explained. The basis for the matter of individual confession for allowing unauthorized taking of food without arranging in order, eating without preventing it, is: The Buddha Bhagavan was dwelling in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. At that time, there was a great famine, and it was difficult for the monks to beg for food, and it was difficult for parents to even consider giving food to their own children, let alone beggars. The group of six monks, having dressed in skirts in the morning, carrying bowls and robes, entered Shravasti for alms. Some obtained food, and some did not, and they were distressed by hunger, so they went to the group of twelve monks. They said: Holy ones, are you living well? Sisters, how are you living here? We are distressed by hunger. Holy ones, if so, please come tomorrow, and who will offer you food? Sisters, if you offer tomorrow, who will allow the offering? Holy ones, we ourselves will offer. Sisters, it is not possible to live like that, rather, invite the Sangha of monks, including the Buddha, and there you will be responsible for the food.

Please give to us again and again, so that we may live. Spom-ga-mo said: If it is possible, I will certainly do so. Then, a householder invited the Buddha and the Sangha of monks to another house for a meal. The Sangha of monks entered. The Blessed One, wishing to establish the basis of training for the hearers in the Vinaya, stayed in the monastery, accepted the offering and ate. The householder and his family began to distribute food to the Sangha of monks, and Spom-ga-mo sat in the corner of the old woman and said: This householder is the noble Gawo, a Shakya renunciate, possessing the three baskets, preaching the Dharma, possessing the fearlessness of reason and liberation, please also offer to him. This is the noble Nye-gawo. This is the noble Dro-gyok. This is Nawa-so. This is Dünpa, these are also Shakya renunciates, possessing the three baskets, preaching the Dharma, possessing the fearlessness of reason and liberation, please also offer to them again and again. This is the noble Charka, the son of a Brahmin priest who has renounced, possessing the three baskets, preaching the Dharma, possessing the fearlessness of reason and liberation, please also offer to him again and again. The householder certainly did so, and gave to them again and again. Similarly, Spom-ga-mo said to those who asked, and they also gave to them again and again. Then, some monks lacked rice, some lacked vegetables, some lacked dishes, some lacked food, some monks received a little food and lacked tsampa, some monks did not receive tsampa and lacked tsampa. Then, those monks who had all kinds of bonds rebuked that householder: Householder, if you do not have wealth, why do you invite the Buddha and the Sangha of monks? He said: Holy ones, I have prepared a lot of food, but Spom-ga-mo, the old woman, is in the corner, and only repeatedly emphasizes to offer, what should I do? At that time, the monks to the Blessed One
