住在吉祥的楼阁里。之后，具寿大迦叶从里里外外的正确禅定中起身，前往世尊所在之处，到达后，以头顶礼世尊的双足，然后在一旁坐下。坐在一旁后，世尊对具寿大迦叶说道：迦叶，你现在已经年老体衰，我的下裙、夏纳衣、拂尘等都很重。迦叶，你去僧团的寺庙里，接受人们的邀请，把在家人的衣服剪成不好的颜色来缝补。当时，舍卫城里住着一位居士，他长期以来一直有这样的愿望：唉，我如果能把受天人供养的尊者大迦叶请到我家供养斋饭，那该多好啊！居士 听说了世尊把圣者大迦叶托付给僧团。听闻之后，他前往具寿大迦叶所在之处，到达后，以头顶礼双足，然后说道：圣者大迦叶，明天请您和您的侍者到我的家中接受斋饭，可以吗？具寿大迦叶没有对居士说什么，就答应了。之后，居士回到自己的家中，让妻子准备了许多食物和饮料，第二天清晨早早起来，在中间的空地上铺设了座位，然后派人去迎请具寿大迦叶。世尊说：被谁邀请的人，应该早点去。之后，具寿大迦叶在第二天清晨穿好裙子，拿着钵和法衣，前往居士的家中，到达后，登上中间的空地，坐在铺设好的座位上。之后，居士以头顶礼具寿大迦叶的双足，然后在一旁坐下。坐在一旁后，具寿大迦叶用符合佛法的言语为居士正确地开示。

Residing in the auspicious mansion. Then, the Venerable Mahakashyapa arose from the correct samadhi of inward and outward contemplation and went to where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, he bowed his head to the Blessed One's feet and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the Blessed One spoke thus to the Venerable Mahakashyapa: "Kashyapa, now you are old and advanced in years. My lower garments, Shana robes, dusters, etc., are heavy. Kashyapa, go to the monastery of the Sangha and accept the invitations of the people. Cut the householder's clothes into bad colors and sew them together." At that time, there was a householder living in Shravasti who had long had this wish: "Alas, if I could invite the Venerable Mahakashyapa, who is worshiped by gods and humans, to my house and offer him alms, how wonderful that would be!" The householder heard that the Blessed One had entrusted the Venerable Mahakashyapa to the Sangha. Having heard this, he went to where the Venerable Mahakashyapa was. Having arrived, he bowed his head to his feet and said: "Venerable Mahakashyapa, would you please come to my house tomorrow with your attendant to receive alms?" The Venerable Mahakashyapa did not say anything to the householder and accepted. Then, the householder returned to his own house and had his wife prepare many foods and drinks. The next morning, he got up early, spread seats in the middle courtyard, and sent someone to invite the Venerable Mahakashyapa. The Blessed One said: "Whoever is invited should go early." Then, the Venerable Mahakashyapa, early the next morning, put on his lower garment, took his bowl and Dharma robes, and went to the householder's house. Having arrived, he ascended to the middle courtyard and sat on the prepared seat. Then, the householder bowed his head to the feet of the Venerable Mahakashyapa and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, the Venerable Mahakashyapa correctly instructed the householder with Dharma-related words.
