Embracing and entering the road, and exceeding the distance of one Yojana. If these are incomplete, what is it then? It should be reproached. The downfall of combination is a misdeed; as long as one engages in the act of downfall of entering the road together with a Bhikshuni, until one does not reach the actual basis, it is a misdeed. For the actual basis, for each different combination that is performed, there is a misdeed. For those who are not attracted to and have fallen from the Bhikshuni, it is a misdeed. For those of different genders and who have not received full ordination, it is a misdeed. For half a Yojana's distance, it is a misdeed. The downfall of the combination of combination is a minor misdeed; as many combinations as there are, so many combinations of combination there are; the combination of misdeed of combination is also a misdeed, it is a minor misdeed. There is no downfall in the case of a dangerous road. There is no downfall for not embracing. There is no downfall on different roads. For beginners, the insane, the mentally disturbed, and those afflicted by sensations, there is no downfall. What should be learned is that a Bhikshu should, in all places and at all times, refrain from all actions that lead to downfall by entering the road together with a Bhikshuni. When Bhikshus and Bhikshunis are tired from walking on the road, they should offer five precious jewels as road provisions, or five mentioned as precious jewels, or five mentioned as food, whichever is suitable. Who should offer? Whichever of the Shramaneras, Shramanerikas, Upasakas, and Upasikas are capable should offer. If they are not present, the Bhikshunis can offer each other one portion of road provisions. Bhikshus and Bhikshunis can also give and receive from each other. When practicing together, one should not discard it on the road. One should offer to those who are sick on the road. The same applies to Bhikshunis. For the sick person who is being cared for, the Bhikshus and Bhikshunis should help each other. Those of different genders should be supported from the head, and those of the same gender should be supported from the feet. Once arriving at the village, one should properly prepare medicine and food for the sick person, and also place a nurse of compatible nature, and then go for alms, etc.

Even if they go, there is no offense. Rectification is the same as before. The twenty-sixth offense of going on a journey with a bhikkhuni has been explained. The story of the offense of embarking on a boat with a bhikkhuni is twofold, based on what is prescribed and what is permitted. The story of the prescription is that the Buddha, the Blessed One, was dwelling in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Park, in Sravasti. The group of six bhikkhus said: 'These Joyful Ones, Near Joyful Ones, and Black Bowl Holders, even if they go with their feet smeared with monkey fat, they will obtain the requisites for going. Even if they come, they will obtain unexpected requisites, and many people will be happy and pleased. We young ones are like turtles in a well, we don't go anywhere, we don't get anything from anywhere, how can we make many people happy and pleased? Let us young ones also embark on a boat and go.' So they went to the summer residence of the bhikkhunis, had the twelve groups of bhikkhunis prepare provisions for the journey, and then took them along, and also took a mendicant bhikkhu, and had them embark on the boat. When they embarked on the boat outside the boundary, they said: 'Joyful Ones, Near Joyful Ones, for a long time we have been living according to the ways of others. Come, let us live according to our own ways.' First the Joyful One sat down, then the Joyful Woman sat down, then the Joyful One's companion sat down, then the Joyful Woman's companion sat down, then the Joyful One's novice sat down, then the Joyful Woman's novice sat down. Similarly, the Near Joyful One and the Chief Joyful Woman, and so on, were also arranged alternately to sit down. That person with a common purpose and a Brahmin were walking together, and those Sadi saw them and said: 'This is a renunciant, this is his wife, this is his son, this is his daughter-in-law, this is his grandson, it is known that this is his grandson's wife.' The Near Joyful One heard this and said: 'Miser, it is like this to have your neck stepped on.' That mendicant bhikkhu thought: 'I am dead, this is the highest evil destiny.'
