If a fire or flood occurs, one should first remove one's own alms bowl, robes, and personal belongings, and then remove the belongings of the Sangha. To protect what has been removed, a senior, incapable Bhikshu should be appointed to guard it. One should not enter fire, water, or unbearable heat for the purpose of removing belongings, as this is not allowed. The method of rectification is the same as before. The fourteenth offense concerning dwelling places has been explained. The basis for the offense of the seat cushion is twofold: the basis for the enactment and the basis for the permission. The basis for the enactment is: The Buddha, the Bhagavan, was dwelling in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. From the south, two Bhikshus, one senior and one junior, came to Shravasti to pay homage at the feet of the Bhagavan. The senior Bhikshu was assigned to a monastery with a dwelling, while the junior Bhikshu was assigned to a monastery without a dwelling. The junior Bhikshu was capable, so he took a lot of grass and prepared a seat cushion that was about knee-high. The senior Bhikshu thought: I should go and see what kind of monastery the junior Bhikshu has been assigned to. When he went there, he saw that the junior Bhikshu had prepared a very good seat cushion, so he thought: As long as I am returning the dwelling, my journey will be delayed, so I will stay here. So, he returned the monastery with the dwelling to the Bhikshu Sangha, and they both stayed in that monastery for the night, and left early the next morning. Because that place was an oil field and a garden, the grass that was laid down was covered with frost, and the entire monastery, inside and out, was covered with frost. At that time, a householder invited the Buddha and the Bhikshu Sangha to another house for a meal, and the Bhikshu Sangha went. The Bhagavan sat on a seat made of grass and began to receive offerings. The Buddhas, the Bhagavatans, sit on seats made of grass and accept offerings for five reasons. What are these five reasons? Wanting to enter into meditation, wanting to teach the Dharma to the gods

, as well as wanting to visit the sick, as well as wanting to inspect the dwelling, and as well as wanting to establish the basis of learning for the Shravakas. In this matter, the Blessed One wanted to inspect the dwelling, and as well as wanting to establish the basis of learning for the Shravakas, therefore he stayed in the brick house and manifested alms-seeking. Then, the Blessed One, after the Bhikshu Sangha had left for a short time, thought in his heart, took the key, from monastery to monastery, from temple to temple, to the room, walking back and forth, gradually walking, and went to the temple with garbage. The Blessed One saw that the temple was covered with garbage inside and out. After seeing it, he said "Alas", and rebuked, thinking in his heart: Brahmins and faithful patrons, squeezing skin, flesh and blood, giving alms, doing good deeds, but the Bhikshus do not know the cold and warmth, and enjoy it without discrimination. Then, the Blessed One, in order to make the garbage and grass each become अलग (Tibetan), manifested such a miracle. With the net-like hands that have wheels, auspiciousness, 卍 (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,Svasti,吉祥), and iron hooks, etc., born from hundreds of thousands of merits, he collected the garbage well and placed it in a cool place. After that, the Blessed One patted the temple, wiped it with a towel, threw the garbage outside the temple, washed his hands and feet, and went to the temple to enter again. After that, the Bhikshu who was begging for alms came back with alms and went to the Blessed One. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, according to their Dharma nature, would ask the Bhikshu who was begging for alms: Bhikshu, how is your alms-begging? Are the Bhikshu Sangha satisfied? In this way, they make them happy separately, so the Blessed One asked the Bhikshu who was begging for alms: Bhikshu, how is your alms-begging?
