Having arisen from existence, she went to where the Blessed One was. Because she was ashamed, she untied her ornaments there, wrapped them in a bundle, and gave them to her daughter. The daughter went before the Blessed One, prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. The daughter placed the ornaments on one side, took jasmine flowers, scattered them on the Blessed One, and sat down on one side. The Blessed One taught her the Dharma for a long time, and then she prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One and left, forgetting the bundle of ornaments there. The venerable Ānanda saw that she had lost the ornaments and left, and thought: Although the Blessed One has not allowed it, this will become a cause, it will be allowed, there will be such a situation. So he hid the ornaments and said to the Blessed One: Venerable, the mother of the hunter Sāgama has left her ornaments behind, and I have hidden the ornaments. The Blessed One said: Ānanda, you know the reason why I have not allowed it but will allow it, well done, well done. Ānanda, therefore, except for the dwellings or houses belonging to the Sangha, women are fond of ornaments, so Sāga remembered the ornaments the next day and said to her daughter: Daughter, where are the ornaments? The daughter said: They were left there. Go and get them. When the daughters heard this, they said to their mother: Mother, do you know that they are kept in the storehouse? Where will you take them from? Sāga said to her sons: Sons, I am not one who wastes wealth. Then the daughter went to the venerable Ānanda and said: Holy One, mother has lost her ornaments. The venerable Ānanda said: They are here, take them away. The daughter took them away and gave them to Sāga, and Sāga said to her sons: Sons, didn't I say that I am not one who wastes wealth? Saying this, she showed the ornaments to her sons. Furthermore, as a sign that Sāga does not waste wealth, the sons threw Sāga's ring into the well, and Sāga's daughter came to the water jar filled with water. The sons also threw the ring to the river god

The fish thrown into the water, after being swallowed by a large fish, the fishermen caught the large fish with a net, and the maid of Saga bought the meat of the large fish at the market, and that's how it happened. Also, the sons of Saga filled bags like female flies with the jewels of Saga and threw them at the crossroads of the main road. When people saw them, they were terrified, thinking it was a sign of the rapid spread of poison. The story of how Saga later recovered the jewels was also told a lot. The monks then asked the Blessed One, and the Blessed One instructed: Do not speak randomly, but ask them what the bag like a female fly is like, and how many taels it weighs. If they say it right, give it to them. If they don't say it right, don't give it to them. They abandoned the things and left, and as a result, they were stolen by others. The Blessed One instructed: Do not abandon them and leave like this, but cover them with soil or leaves on the side of the road. They abandoned the things completely, and the Blessed One instructed: Do not abandon them completely, but wait there for seven or eight days. If the owner comes and says it right, give it to them. If they don't come, put the things in the monastery's warehouse. If the owner comes after six months and says it right, give it to them. If they don't come, sell the things and save the money. If the owner comes at that time, tell him: The things have been sold, please agree. If they agree, that's good. If they don't agree, donate it. If they ask for interest, tell them: We have kept it for so long, don't you think we are kind? Take the things and go. Therefore, one can only live in a monastery or residence. After that, the Blessed One praised those who wanted to learn the precepts, respected the precepts, and used the things needed for the precepts sparingly, and then said to the monks:

And he gave teachings that were in accordance with that, mostly the same, and possessed of compatible Dharma. He admonished the monks, saying: O monks, therefore, the former is prohibited, and this is permitted. My Śrāvaka disciples should recite the basis of training in the Vinaya as follows: If any monk, with his own hand takes, or causes another to take, precious jewels or things considered as precious jewels, except for a dwelling belonging to the Sangha, or a dwelling belonging to a room, it is a downfall. If a monk is in a dwelling belonging to the Sangha or belonging to a room, and there are precious jewels or things considered as precious jewels, and he thinks, 'Whose is this? Can I get it?' he should take it with such a mind. Therefore, it is permitted, saying, 'This is a ritual.' The place was Śrāvastī. The person was the venerable Ānanda and monks with few desires. There was no affliction or fault. Among them, "any monk" refers to the group of six or others like that. "Precious jewels" refers to jewels, pearls, vaiḍūrya, conch shell stone, coral, gold, silver, the essence of stone, crystal, ruby, and right-spiraling conch shells. "Things considered as precious jewels" refers to all weapons used on the battlefield and all instruments used for music. "One's own hand" means hand to hand. "Takes" means oneself. "Causes another to take" means another. "A dwelling belonging to the Sangha" means outside the Sangha's dwelling. "A dwelling belonging to a room" means inside the Sangha's dwelling. "Except" means except for a dwelling belonging to the Sangha or a dwelling belonging to a room. "It is a downfall" is as before. "Monk" refers to the holder of this Dharma. If a monk is in a dwelling belonging to the Sangha or belonging to a room, and there are precious jewels or things considered as precious jewels, and he thinks, 'Whose is this? Can I get it?' he should take it with such a mind. Therefore, it is permitted, saying, 'This is a ritual,' which means that in establishing the basis of training, this is in accordance with the permission.
