The actual transgression is: newly acquired, one's own, clothing, any of the blue, red, or shroud colors other than the eight major colors, using it without changing the color. If these are incomplete, then it should be punished accordingly. The preparatory transgression is a minor offense, that is, as long as one begins to prepare for the transgression of wearing clothes that have not been changed in color, until one does not reach the actual transgression, it is a minor offense. For each different preparation made for the actual transgression, there is a separate minor offense. The preparation of new clothes should not be done by the bhikshu himself, therefore it is a minor offense. For unsuitable clothes, it is a minor offense. Using another's clothes without changing the color is a minor offense. The preparatory transgression of preparation is a minor offense, as many preparations as there are, so many preparatory preparations there are, that is, the preparation for the preparation of a minor offense is also a minor offense, it is a minor offense. There is no transgression for things that are not clothes. There is no transgression for those who come from other sects. There is no transgression for clothes that have already been made suitable that were stolen by a householder from another. There is no transgression for water strainers. There is no transgression for beginners, the insane, the mentally disturbed, and those who are experiencing feelings. What should be learned is: a bhikshu should learn to avoid all actions that lead to the transgression of wearing clothes that have not been changed in color in all places and at all times. Clothes that have been changed into the eight major colors should not be used. Uncut householder's clothes should not be used. If such circumstances exist, it should be covered with shroud color inside the monastery and then worn. When walking on the road, if borrowed clothes are found, they should be used in common with fellow bhikshus and shramaneras. If there is only one borrowed garment, it should be covered from the elders onwards as far as it reaches. One should not borrow it out without designating it, take it from another and put it on oneself, and then go for a walk. If someone who desires merit invites you as a guest, you should remember that uncut clothes and the like are dangerous due to impermanence, so you should put it on top. The subsequent treatment is the same as before. Wearing clothes that have not been changed in color.

Thus, the fifty-eighth offense of downfall has been explained. 《Extensive Commentary on the Pratimoksha Sutra - Collected from the Vinaya》, Volume 35. The basis for the downfall related to enjoyment has three aspects: occurrence, establishment, and permission. The basis of occurrence is that the Buddha Bhagavan was residing in Rajagriha on Vulture Peak Mountain. Then, the Bhagavan, in the morning, put on his lower garment, took his bowl and Dharma robes, descended from Vulture Peak Mountain, and went to Rajagriha for alms with the venerable Ananda, a monk who was following behind. The Bhagavan saw that the treasure buried by the people of the first kalpa had caused rain to fall, resulting in a shimmering light of water in that area, and it was blazing with light. Having seen this, he said to the venerable Ananda: "Ananda, poison spreads quickly." The Bhagavan said: "It is a potent poison." "Ananda, poison spreads quickly." The Sugata said: "It is a potent poison." At that time, not far away, there was a person with thick fruits and roots who heard this, went to that direction to look, and saw the treasure emitting light. He thought: "The potent poison of the Shakyaputra ascetics is beautiful and very good. Even if it takes away parents, children, wives, slaves, servants, laborers, those who live on leftovers, friends, ministers, relatives, and in-laws, it is worth it." So, he covered the treasure with bundles of leaves and quietly carried it back to his home. The tall son of Kosala, King Ajatashatru of Magadha, found out and stole the treasure, and also killed that person, including his relatives. Later, that person developed a new faith in the Buddha and abandoned (the treasure) because he believed in the teachings of the Bhagavan. After that, that person developed great faith in the Buddha, invited the Bhagavan and the Sangha of monks to his home for a meal, and the Bhagavan taught him the Dharma, causing that person to attain the fruit of stream-entry. This is the basis of occurrence, the Buddha Bhagavan, for the time being, in order to tame the Shravakas.
