不要同住一处过夜。（近喜）说道：凡是能过两夜的，也能过三夜。难道过三夜的就喝酒了吗？吃了根茎食物吗？有什么罪过呢？说完，为了比丘们少生事端，世尊告诫说：比丘不应与未受具足戒者，一同在一处过两夜以上。为什么要对比丘们恶语相向，说他们故意想过两夜以上呢？互相指责，恶语相向。当时，比丘们禀告了世尊。之后，世尊因这件事，这个缘起，这个因缘，召集了比丘僧团，呵斥六群比丘说：这不是沙门的行径，不随顺，不如法，不合规矩，这不是出家人该做的事。以多种方式呵斥之后，考虑到制定戒律的十种利益，我的声闻弟子们应如是诵读此律之根本：如果比丘与未受具足戒者一同在一处过两夜以上，则犯堕罪。世尊制定了此戒。地点是舍卫城（古印度地名）。人物是近喜。烦恼是依于贪欲。罪过是与未受具足戒者一同在一处过两夜以上。 其中，比丘是指释迦之子近喜，或其他像他一样的人。与未受具足戒者一同，是指受具足戒者有两种：比丘和比丘尼。除此之外的都是未受具足戒者。过两夜以上，是指超过两夜。同住一处，是指在四种住所中，全部遮蔽且全部围绕，全部遮蔽且大部分围绕，大部分遮蔽且全部围绕，大部分遮蔽且大部分围绕的地方过夜，直到天亮。其中，全部遮蔽且全部围绕的住所是指房屋、回廊和楼房。全部遮蔽且大部分围绕的住所是指有十个门的...

Do not sleep in the same place for one night. Nearsay said: "If it is permissible to spend two nights, it is also permissible to spend three nights. Did the one who spent three nights drink alcohol? Did he eat roots? What is the offense?" After saying this, to reduce the troubles of the monks, the Blessed One instructed: "A monk should not sleep in the same place with someone who has not received full ordination for more than two nights." Why do the monks scold each other, saying that they deliberately want to spend more than two nights? They point fingers at each other and speak harshly. At that time, the monks reported to the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, because of this event, this origin, and this circumstance, convened the monastic community of monks and rebuked the group of six monks, saying: "This is not the conduct of a renunciant, it is not in accordance, it is not proper, it is not in accordance with the rules, this is not something that a renunciant should do." After rebuking them in various ways, considering the ten benefits of establishing precepts, my disciples should recite the root of this discipline as follows: "If a monk sleeps in the same place with someone who has not received full ordination for more than two nights, it is a downfall." The Blessed One established this precept. The place was Shravasti (ancient Indian place name). The person was Nearsay. The affliction is based on desire. The offense is sleeping in the same place with someone who has not received full ordination for more than two nights. Among them, a monk refers to Nearsay, the son of Shakya, or anyone else like him. Together with someone who has not received full ordination, means that there are two types of fully ordained people: monks and nuns. Anyone other than that is someone who has not received full ordination. More than two nights means exceeding two nights. Staying in the same place means staying overnight in places where all four types of dwellings are completely covered and completely surrounded, completely covered and mostly surrounded, mostly covered and completely surrounded, and mostly covered and mostly surrounded, until dawn.
