Completed. For the main action, for each different action performed, there is a minor offense. For other actions not for the sake of a bhikkhu, there is a minor offense. For other actions not belonging to the category of one hundred and one actions, there is a minor offense. The transgression of the action of action is a minor offense; as many actions as there are, so many are the actions of action. The action of the action of a minor offense is also a minor offense, it is a minor offense. There is no transgression if the wish is not submitted. There is no transgression if the Sangha's action is not done according to the Dharma. There is no transgression for not speaking of the return. There is no transgression for beginners, and for those who are mad, mentally disturbed, and afflicted by sensations. What is to be learned is that a bhikkhu should avoid all forms of actions that lead to the transgression of returning the wish in all places and at all times. Do not engage in the Dharma of sophistry. Do not do inconsistent things. The return is as before. The fifty-third transgression concerning the return of the wish has been explained. The Extensive Commentary on the Pratimoksha Sutra, Collected from All the Vinayas, Volume Thirty-Three. The basis for the transgression of sleeping with one who is not fully ordained is threefold, namely, the basis of occurrence, permission, and enactment. The basis of occurrence is that the Buddha, the Bhagavan, was residing in Shravasti, in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika's Garden. Brahmins and faithful householders came to the monastery and said to the bhikkhus: "Please, noble ones, teach the Dharma." The bhikkhus said: "Good sirs, the Bhagavan has not permitted it." At that time, the bhikkhus reported to the Bhagavan, and the Bhagavan instructed: "Therefore, bhikkhus should also be permitted to teach the Dharma." The bhikkhus teach the Dharma during the day. Those householders who live by the fruits of merit listen to the Dharma during the day, while those who live by the fruits of labor at night, wise ones, noble ones, please teach the sweet and pleasant Dharma, and like a bee making honey, please teach the Dharma like honey.

It is said that this is powerful. Those who live by the fruits of their labor scold him, saying, "If we do not work during the day, we will starve to death. O venerable ones, if you teach the Dharma at night, we will also listen." The monks reported these circumstances to the Blessed One, and the Blessed One instructed: "The Dharma should be taught at night." The monks taught the Dharma all night and became tired. The Blessed One instructed: "The Dharma should be taught until midnight." Even so, they still became tired. The Blessed One instructed: "The Dharma should be taught on the eighth and fourteenth days." The monks taught the Dharma until midnight on the eighth and fourteenth days, and a mendicant monk came to listen to the Dharma. By that time, it was already all night, and he sat in the lotus position. Those lay disciples who had come also slept there, and the caretaker began to extinguish the lamp. They said, "Venerable one, do not extinguish the lamp, we will offer butter." The caretaker relit the lamp and left. Then, an old, forgetful monk fell asleep and dreamed that he was sleeping with old things from the past. He began to babble, and the lay disciples heard it and looked to see who it was by the light of the lamp. When they saw that the old monk was sleeping outside and babbling, they said, "Wise ones, if the state of the elderly is like this, what will be the state of the young renunciates?" This will cause the non-believers to misunderstand. That mendicant monk got up early in the morning and went to the monastery. The ascetic monks said, "O long-lived one, how did the celibates teach the beautiful Dharma and cause the great assembly of people to have faith?" He said, "The celibates did so, but an old monk caused the great assembly of people to lose faith." He told the monks what had happened.

The monks reported the matter to the Blessed One in detail. Then, the Blessed One thought to himself: 'Whatever slight offense has occurred is because the monks sleep together with those who have not received full ordination and sleep in the light.' Then the Blessed One said: 'Therefore, monks should not sleep together with those who have not received full ordination, nor should they sleep in the light. If they do sleep, they will commit a serious offense.' This is the origin of the matter. The Buddha, the Blessed One, did not yet establish the basis of training for the disciples in order to subdue them. The origin of the authorization is that the Buddha, the Blessed One, was dwelling in Jeta's Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. Then, the Venerable Shariputra had two novices named Rahula and Encourager. The Venerable Rahula went out for the day, and a visiting monk unexpectedly occupied his dwelling, which made him unhappy. The Venerable Encourager said to Rahula: 'Venerable Rahula, do not be unhappy, sleep wherever you can.' That night, the Venerable Rahula went to the Blessed One's foot-wiping cloth, which had been anointed with fragrant ointment by Brahmins and faithful householders, and he laid his head on the footstool and fell asleep. At that time, five-colored clouds gathered in the night, and it began to rain. Not far from the foot-wiping cloth, there was a nest of a highly venomous snake, and the rain filled the nest, causing the highly venomous snake to crawl to where the Blessed One's foot-wiping cloth was. The Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, have the nature of not forgetting. The Blessed One thought: 'If this highly venomous snake were to find Rahula, he would be reduced to just a name. Those arrogant Shakyans would think, 'If this excellent young man Rahula had not become a monk, he could have become a true king, but after becoming a monk, he lost his life due to Anathapindika's actions,' and they would lose faith.'
