Now begin the creation. Now, the Blessed One is watching and residing in Magadha, and also speaks the praises of the people of Rajagriha. Then, the many merchants of Shravasti felt great joy and rejoiced in the Venerable Ananda, prostrated and clearly prepared the goods to go to Rajagriha. Then, the Blessed One agreed to stay in the summer retreat, and after the three summer months had passed. The Blessed One said to the Venerable Ananda: Ananda, go and tell the monks that the Tathagata will go to Magadha for pilgrimage, and whoever among you is willing to go to Magadha for pilgrimage with the Tathagata, do the work of sewing Dharma robes. The Venerable Ananda announced this to the monks, and when the many merchants of Shravasti heard this, they went to where the Blessed One was, prostrated at the feet of the Blessed One with their heads, and reported: Blessed One, from Shravasti to Rajagriha, how much clothing, food, lodging, causes of illness, and medicine are needed by the Sangha of monks, please allow us to offer them. The Blessed One did not say anything to them, indicating permission. Then, the many merchants of Shravasti went to where the Venerable Ananda was, prostrated and asked how far the Tathagata's residence was, and saw that it was like the residence of a Chakravartin king, ten yojanas apart. They prepared offerings for the Blessed One and the Sangha of monks at a distance of ten yojanas. Then, the Blessed One, together with the retinue of the Sangha of monks, went to Rajagriha, where he traveled. The Venerable Ananda walked in front of the harmonious merchants, and when he saw the rocks on the road, he stayed there until the Blessed One arrived. When the Blessed One arrived, he said: Ananda, why are you staying? Monk, this is the Beast Path Rock, this Beast Path is straight and has the terror of lions, this Beast Path is curved.

If it is peaceful, which path should I take? Kunga (Ananda), go by the straight path! The Tathagata is free from the fear of lions. Then, the Blessed One began to walk on the straight path, and after a while, he came to a rocky mountain on that path. From that rocky mountain, two young children came to the road and were playing. One of them was holding a ḍapaṭaha (藏文：རྡ་པ་ཊ་ཧ་，梵文天城体：डपठह，梵文罗马拟音：ḍapaṭaha，汉语字面意思：鼓). The other was holding a bow. When the two children saw the Blessed One, they prostrated and said: Blessed One, please come this way. Blessed One, it is good that you have come. Blessed One, where are you going on the path full of fear? However, please do not be afraid, Blessed One. We two will protect the Blessed One. Then, one who had faith struck the ḍapaṭaha (藏文：རྡ་པ་ཊ་ཧ་，梵文天城体：डपठह，梵文罗马拟音：ḍapaṭaha，汉语字面意思：鼓). The other who had faith drew the bow, and the two of them began to walk towards the Blessed One. The Blessed One thought to himself: These two children are planting roots of virtue. Knowing this, the Blessed One said to the two children: Two children, go back! The Tathagata is free from the fear of lions. The two of them bowed their heads to the feet of the Blessed One and left from before the Blessed One. The Blessed One smiled and emitted rays of light from his mouth, illuminating all the realms of the lower realms and the higher realms, and the entire universe of the three thousand great thousand worlds. Those rays of light circumambulated the Blessed One three times and dissolved into the Blessed One's ūrṇā (藏文：མཛོད་སྤུ，梵文天城体：ऊर्णा，梵文罗马拟音：ūrṇā，汉语字面意思：白毫). Then, the venerable Kunga (Ananda) asked, "Blessed One, with that root of virtue and good conduct of those two children, they will not go to the lower realms for thirteen kalpas, and they will be born and dwell in the realms of gods and humans.
