Without abandoning or separating, is there no confession of transgression? Abandoning but not separating, is there no confession of transgression? Abandoning and separating, but without confessing the transgression, if another such thing belonging to the transformation from offerings is found, then that too will be abandoned by the force of the previous one, but one will not fall into transgression because of it. When a renunciate has a transgression of abandonment due to transformation from an offering, as long as one has not confessed from the object of abandonment and has not confessed separately, if one places a bowl, Dharma garment, net, bowl, water strainer, or any other means of livelihood for a renunciate nearby, that too will be abandoned by the force of the previous one, but one will not fall into transgression because of it. There is no fault in other patrons who are not relatives, whether they are householders or renunciates, whether they have the same or different views. There is no fault in offering to another person or the Sangha. There is no fault in obtaining robes that are permissible, of the proper size, or exceeding the size. There is no fault in eating there with two minds. There is no fault in transforming and obtaining for oneself. The agent here is the acquisition of robes offered by another to another, and knowingly transforming and obtaining them for oneself. In this case, the five limbs become the basis of the transgression: any other patron, offering to another renunciate or the Sangha, obtaining robes, knowingly transforming them for oneself, and obtaining them. If any of these limbs are missing, there is a fault as appropriate. The transgression of preparation is a misdeed: as long as one has begun the preparation for transforming an offering into a transgression of abandonment, it is a misdeed until one reaches the basis. For each different preparation made for the basis, there is a separate misdeed. Transformation is a misdeed. Transforming something offered to another person to another person is a misdeed. Transforming something offered to another person to another person and obtaining it is also a misdeed. For the acquisition of food, both transformation and acquisition are misdeeds. For separation and combination, neither of which is counted as sentient beings, both transformation and acquisition of dwellings and the like for oneself are misdeeds. For parts such as stairs, houses, and doors.

It is a fault to transfer offerings to another place, both in terms of obtaining and not obtaining. If the offering is not given, there is a fault. Going outside the boundary, if one appropriates the possessions of the deceased of the Sangha, there is a fault. If one disposes of possessions without gathering the persons who have the right to dispose of them, there is a fault. If one disposes of the possessions of the deceased without blessing them, there is a fault. For possessions owned by all, if one, two, or three monks take them without the intention of stealing, there is a fault. It is a fault to dispose of things that are not permissible. The transgression of action is a minor fault. The transgression of action is a minor fault. As many actions as there are, so many are the preparations for action. The preparation for the transgression of buying is also a fault, a minor fault. Of these, first thinking in the mind is a minor fault of the preparation for action. Then, performing the action through body and speech is the actual transgression of action. Finally, reaching the ultimate result is the basis of the downfall to be abandoned, it should be understood. There is no downfall for not being aware of it. There is no downfall for eating leftovers, searching for animals, etc., but not finding them. If the image of the Sugata, other ornaments, etc., are given as a loan to another image, there is no fault. Except for the Great Bodhi Stupa, the Wheel of Dharma, the Great Miracle, and the Descent from Heaven, if the offerings cannot be used for the original object of offering, and cannot be transported there, then there is no fault in transferring them to other stupas. The possessions of the Great Bodhi Stupa, the Wheel of Dharma, the Great Miracle, and the Descent from Heaven cannot be transferred to other stupas. If the offerings cannot be used for one of the four great stupas, and cannot be transported there, then there is no fault in transferring them to any of the other three. There is no downfall for beginners, the insane, the mentally disturbed, and those afflicted by suffering. What should be learned is that monks temporarily reside in all places...
