其本身就如同滤水器一样。道路上只要有可以用的水，那么它也如同滤水器一样。没有滤水器等物，就不要去游历田野。不要和脾气暴躁、身患疾病的比丘一同游历田野。如果和他同行会妨碍戒律和生命等，有那样的因缘，就在寺院里向他请求宽恕，或者他宽恕了你，才可以一同游历田野。滤水器等用具，只有在做事的时候才需要，不是在时间和地点上一直都要有的。如果其他比丘承诺说，在过滤水的时候会把滤水器给你，那么他就拥有了那个滤水器，如果他没有那样承诺，即使其他比丘有滤水器，那个比丘也没有滤水器。 游历时分开，如果对方没有承诺给你滤水器，那么从一开始分开的时候就不要依赖他的滤水器。在五弓（约25米）的范围内不会缺水，所以必须去的地方也不是游历的地方，在那里没有滤水器也可以去。如果已经走了，也不确定一定有滤水器，所以不要把自己的滤水器留下就走。如果有一个滤水器，那么从僧团以下到众多比丘都拥有了滤水器，因此可以用它来游历田野。即使在五弓（约25米）的范围内行走，如果水流湍急，超过了之前的水流，也应该送去滤水器。对于水流湍急的地方，因为是顺着水流的方向走，所以在河流的源头检查了水之后，一弓（约5米）的距离内不需要检查，可以直接使用，再往下也同样要检查。在一弓（约5米）的距离内，如果和其他的水混合了，那么在那之前检查过的水可以使用，再往下也要检查。水边附近大约一寻（约1.8米），从检查水的地方开始，一寻（约1.8米）的范围内都是检查过的。不是天眼，而是用普通的肉眼来检查。

It itself is like a water strainer. As long as there is usable water on the road, then it is also like a water strainer. Without a water strainer or similar items, do not go to travel the fields. Do not travel the fields together with an irritable and sick monk. If going with him would hinder the precepts and life, and there is such a cause, then in the monastery, ask him for forgiveness, or if he forgives you, then you can travel the fields together. Water strainers and other utensils are only needed when doing things, not necessarily always needed in terms of time and place. If another monk promises to give you a water strainer when filtering water, then he possesses that water strainer. If he does not promise that, even if another monk has a water strainer, that monk does not have a water strainer. When separating during travel, if the other person has not promised to give you a water strainer, then from the moment of separation, do not rely on his water strainer. Within a range of five bow-lengths (approximately 25 meters), there will be no shortage of water, so a place that must be gone to is not a place for travel, and there it is permissible to go without a water strainer. If one has already gone, and it is not certain that there will be a water strainer, then one should not leave one's own water strainer and go. If there is one water strainer, then from the Sangha down to many monks, they all possess a water strainer, so it can be used to travel the fields. Even when walking within a range of five bow-lengths (approximately 25 meters), if the water flow is rapid and exceeds the previous water flow, a water strainer should be sent. For places with rapid water flow, because one is going in the direction of the water flow, after checking the water at the source of the river, it is not necessary to check within a distance of one bow-length (approximately 5 meters), and it can be used directly. Further down, it must be checked again. Within a distance of one bow-length (approximately 5 meters), if it mixes with other water, then the water that was checked before that can be used, and further down it must be checked again. The vicinity of the water's edge is about one fathom (approximately 1.8 meters), so from the place where the water was checked, the area within one fathom (approximately 1.8 meters) is considered to have been checked. It is not a divine eye, but checked with ordinary eyes of flesh.
