Te. Cleaning, washing, and wiping refer to things like alms bowls. Knocking, dusting, and wiping refer to things like dwellings. Making broth, soup, and porridge refers to making food and drink. What are those things like water that are used for those purposes? It is said that water, ghee, sesame oil, honey, molasses juice, milk, yogurt, butter, salt and grain alkali, sour porridge water, coarse grains, wooden utensils, and cooking utensils are included. What kind of beings are considered to be with living beings? It is said that those that can be seen, like the beings born in the birthplace of domestic animals, are considered to be with living beings. Not only are those things like water considered to contain only tiny living beings, but also, in order to include other actions that cause the death of living beings, it is said that one should prevent and eliminate watercourses. Actions such as preventing and eliminating watercourses like canals are also actions that cause the death of living beings. Therefore, those that can be seen, like the beings born in the birthplace of domestic animals, are also included here as being with living beings. In order to include other actions that cause the death of living beings, it is said that one should put wood and floating objects into water, straighten them, and rinse them. Actions such as putting wood into water, straightening it in the water, rinsing it from the water onto the land, and putting floating objects such as aquatic plants into water, straightening them in the water, and rinsing them from the water onto the land are also actions that cause the death of living beings. Therefore, those that can be seen, like the beings born in the birthplace of domestic animals, are also included here as being with living beings. Saying "wood and floating objects" is just an example, and other similar things are also included. In order to include other kinds of actions that cause the death of living beings, it is said that one should wash clothes that are not single-layered, but have wool, etc., in water. Actions such as washing clothes that are not single-layered, but are double-layered with wool, have patches, etc., in water are also actions that cause the death of living beings. Therefore, those domestic animals

Just as creatures born in places of sentient beings appear due to their ability, so too are sentient beings included here. Furthermore, in order to encompass other forms of the act of creatures dying, even a single garment, such as washing in water particularly abundant with creatures, should be recognized as containing creatures, thereby using it oneself or causing others to use it. It is said that if one does so, then after each creature born in the realm of animals dies, the act of using water containing creatures will become the basis for a transgression. There is no fault for any act of using it oneself. There is no fault for any creature born in the realm of animals. There is no fault for things that appear like a gauze curtain. There is no fault for thinking that something does not contain creatures when it clearly does, or for being indecisive. There is no fault for using it oneself or causing others to use it. There is no fault for each creature becoming the basis for a transgression after it dies. The agent here primarily refers to those who, for their own use, think that water and so on contain creatures. If all the limbs are complete, it will become a root transgression, namely any act of using it oneself, and water and so on containing any creature belonging to the realm of animals, and thinking that it contains creatures, and using it oneself and others, and how many creatures die. If these limbs are incomplete, there will be faults accordingly. The transgression of the act is a misdeed, namely as long as one has begun the act of using water containing creatures, until one has not reached the root transgression, it is a misdeed. For each different act that is done, there is a misdeed. For thinking that something contains creatures when it clearly does not, or for being indecisive, there is a misdeed. Things that are not used oneself, and that are not animals, are the objects of other transgressions. The misdeed of an act that has not died. The transgression of the act of the act is a minor misdeed, namely as many acts as there are, so many acts of the act there are, the act of the misdeed of the act is also a misdeed, namely a misdeed.
