The meaning of "doing" is the same as before. So, how does a downfall occur? Here, too, the definition of this should be understood through the root, the preparation, the preparation of the preparation that establishes the downfall, as well as the absence of downfall, what should be learned, and purification. Among them, the establishment of the root downfall here is: when a non-bhikshu has not been allowed, he takes food begged from a non-relative donor, such as milk, yogurt, ghee, fish, meat, dried meat, etc., and eats it himself; or when he obtains bad, good, ordinary, or good food, he takes and eats it himself like the previous begged food, it will become the root downfall of begging for food. There is no blame for a bhikshu who is not sick. For a sick person, there is no downfall for begging himself, obtaining and eating what he begged, having others beg, having others beg and obtaining and eating, and not eating all those obtained things. There is no blame for a bhikshu who has not been allowed. When a bhikshu is begging for alms, he goes to each house, and when a woman comes later with food, the bhikshu says nothing, or refuses by saying "I don't need this," the woman asks, "Venerable, then what are you begging for?" Because it has already been allowed, there will be no downfall no matter what you beg for. Because the Blessed One said that if you say to the donor, "Beg for what you want," having been allowed, there will be no downfall no matter what you beg for. There is no blame for a non-relative donor. Please, if a bhikshu does not ask for permission, and begs for food from each house for himself to eat or enjoy, will there be no downfall? Yes, if you beg from a relative and eat, there is no downfall. If this sign is a donor, then there is no downfall at this time either. If a non-Buddhist renunciate is a donor, then it is a misdeed, because the Blessed One said so. There is no blame for all the begged food, such as milk, yogurt, ghee, fish, meat, dried meat, or any of them. From the Pratimoksha and its commentary, it says, what kind of begged food of the bhikshus that the Blessed One spoke of is like this:

Namely milk, yogurt, butter, fish, meat, and dried meat, etc. Furthermore, if a non-bhikshu, for his own sake, begs for and consumes such food from other people's homes, he commits a transgression, because the Buddha said so. Milk and the like are just examples, and other begged-for foods like butter soup are also the same. There is no fault in taking it yourself and eating it. If a non-bhikshu takes these begged-for foods himself, or has others beg for them, or eats what others have begged for, it is an offense; if he does not eat it, it is a minor offense, because the Buddha said so. When one obtains bad food, begged-for food, ordinary food, or good food, if one takes it oneself and eats it, like the previous begged-for foods, there is no fault. Because here, only improper acceptance leads to transgression, therefore, a bhikshu who has not accepted properly, when he obtains bad food, begged-for food, ordinary food, or good food, if he begs for it himself and eats it, like the previous begged-for foods, it becomes the actual deed. Among them, bad food refers to grains, butter, etc., other than milk and the like. Begged-for food refers to milk and the like. Ordinary food refers to milk itself and the like. Good food refers to milk itself and the like. Alternatively, bad food refers to goat's milk. Begged-for food refers to rice milk porridge mixed with butter and sugar. Ordinary food refers to cow's milk. Good food refers to

Before reaching tranquility, an offense is committed. For the main action, each time a different preparation is made, an offense is committed. A sick bhikshuni commits an offense merely by begging for herself. A non-bhikshuni who causes another to beg, and eats what is obtained, commits an offense. A non-bhikshuni who causes another to beg but does not eat, commits an offense and should be reproached. Giving alms to non-Buddhist renunciates is an offense. If one begs for bad food and eats it, both the preparation and the main action are offenses. If one causes another to beg for bad food and eats it, it is an offense and should be reproached. If one obtains bad food and then begs for good food, it is an offense. If one obtains good food and then begs for bad food within it, and eats it, it is an offense. If one does not obtain bad food and begs for good food, an offense is committed in all cases. The preparation for the preparation of a transgression is a minor offense. As many preparations as there are, so many preparations for the preparation there are. The preparation for the offense of preparation is also an offense, that is, a minor offense. There is no transgression for a sick bhikshu. There is no transgression when the benefactor offers as he pleases. There is no transgression for a benefactor who is a relative or a renunciate with this sign. There is no transgression for a beginner, or one who is insane, mentally disturbed, or afflicted by feelings. What should be learned is that a bhikshu should avoid all forms of behavior that lead to transgression by begging for good food in all places and at all times. Do not demean yourself or crave food. The correction is the same as before. This fortieth precept concerning transgression by begging for good food has been explained. Summary: With living beings, staying in a sleeping place. Standing and naked, armies and. Arranging and disrupting for two nights, walking and. Beating and threatening, and taking bad dwellings. This is called the tenth fifth. The meaning and purpose of the word 'summary' are the same as before. This tenth fifth also shows ten dharmas that lead to transgression, namely, using water with living beings, staying in a house prepared for sleeping, standing in a house prepared for sleeping, giving alms to naked people, watching armies, watching encampments within armies, and experiencing the components of an army.
