That which is called "Saṅghāvaśeṣa" is as before. If you ask how a downfall occurs, here too, the characteristics of this should be understood through the root, the application, the establishment of the downfall by the application of the application, the absence of downfall, what should be learned, and purification. Among them, the establishment of the root downfall here is: a bhikṣu seeks land and implements from elsewhere, and without the land being pure and without informing the Saṅgha, he builds or causes to be built a house exceeding the limit for the sake of one person, and once it is completed, it will ultimately constitute a Saṅghāvaśeṣa. Its distinction is: the bhikṣu who commits the downfall seeks the land for the house from the walking place of anyone, even from a renunciate of this order, and the implements for the house, such as grass, wood, hired laborers, wooden carts, bricks, wages, etc., are also sought from elsewhere, so the land is impure, unsuitable, accompanied by disputes, should not be started, and without informing the Saṅgha, for the sake of himself alone, or another bhikṣu alone, or another patron alone, the length of the interior of the house exceeds the standard of eighteen cubits, and the width exceeds the standard of eleven and a half cubits, he builds himself or causes others to build for himself, or he himself causes others to build, and once it is completed, it becomes the root of Saṅghāvaśeṣa. There is no fault in building oneself without being appointed. There is no fault in being appointed by others. There is no fault in appointing others oneself. If the appointed bhikṣu causes another builder bhikṣu to build well, but the builder builds wrongly, in the end the builder has no fault. If the appointed bhikṣu causes another builder bhikṣu to build well, but the builder builds wrongly, and the appointer approves with body and speech, in the end neither of them has any fault. If the appointed bhikṣu causes another builder bhikṣu to build well, but the builder builds wrongly, and the appointer does not approve with body and speech, in the end the builder has no fault. When a bhikṣu adopts the appearance of another practitioner, if there is the thought of a bhikṣu, there is no fault. There is no fault in doing something for a long time with one application. The land is the walking of people.

There is no fault in seeking (help) from householders and renunciates, this and other heretical sects, men and women, and eunuchs. There is no fault in seeking utensils from them either. There is no fault in those born from other human beings and those who follow other ways of conduct. There is no fault in foundations that are unsuitable, disputed, and should not be started. There is no fault in viewing the foundation, showing the foundation, requesting (help), showing the foundation, requests for donations, and unfinished work. There is no fault in doing it for oneself alone, another bhikkhu, a renunciate, or a householder. There is no fault in exceeding the limit of length and exceeding the limit of width. There is no fault in the boundary limited by time, days and nights, years and months, and so on. There is no fault in things that are similar to good things. There is no fault in the common place of downfall where the name has changed. Its author is building houses without inspecting the ground and utensils. This has six branches that lead to actual downfall: seeking the ground and utensils from elsewhere, the ground being impure, not showing, for one person, exceeding the limit, and being limited. If these branches are incomplete, then depending on the situation, there is no fault. Having mentioned "impure ground" and "not showing," what is the characteristic of impure ground? Unsuitable ground and disputed ground and The venerable Nyeda, who was invited, was assigned the task of distributing alms by the Gekö (monk in charge of monastic affairs), and he thought: What method could I use to interrupt this Gekö? He thought to himself: If I had someone with me, how far is the grove of Rajagriha, how should I tell him? In any case, I will measure the land with my steps. As he was measuring the land with his steps and walking slowly, the Gekö thought: He is taking so long, if I interrupt the alms, that would not be good, I should take a look. So he climbed a tree and began to watch. After a while, the venerable Nyeda saw him coming slowly and thought: From the way he is coming, he will interrupt my alms. Realizing this, he came down from the tree and sat down. The venerable

I, the one with possessions, Nears Delight also came, after how long, the shadow of the parasol disappeared, the monastic official said: The one with thorns, you come with such a pace, in reality, do you deliberately intend to make me fast? He said: How do you see me? I climbed the tree to look. Are you allowed to climb trees? It may be allowed or it may not be allowed, but I climbed. When he said these words, the monks requested the Blessed One. The Blessed One taught: Therefore, a monk should train not to climb trees. The precept was established. The place is Shravasti (Mnyan-yod). The person is the one who holds this Dharma. The affliction is not knowing the time and action. The fault is climbing trees. The origin of the permission granted with things is that the Buddha, the Blessed One, was residing in Anathapindika's Grove in Jeta's Grove in Shravasti (Mnyan-yod). The Blessed One taught that a monk should train not to climb trees. The monks wanted to engage in the work of pigments, not knowing where the rope was poisonous, the Blessed One taught: How high can one climb a tree? Therefore, a monk should train not to climb higher than one person's height on a tree. Afterwards, permission was granted by establishing a precept. The place is Shravasti (Mnyan-yod). The persons are the monks with few desires, there are no afflictions and faults. The origin of the subsequent permission is that the Buddha, the Blessed One, was residing in Anathapindika's Grove in Jeta's Grove in Shravasti (Mnyan-yod). The Blessed One taught that a monk should train not to climb higher than one person's height on a tree. A monk was traveling with a companion, and the companions spent the night on the way to the monastery, where the fear of a tiger arose, and the companions all climbed up the trees. That monk stayed about one person's height above the ground on the tree. After a while, the tiger came, and the companions said: Venerable, the tiger has come, quickly climb higher! He thought, the Blessed One does not allow climbing trees higher than one person's height, how should I climb higher? So he stayed there.
