Is it a lie? Is it a lie of a grave offense? Is it a lie of a sanghadisesa? Is it a lie of a patayantika? It becomes one of a dushkrta. Because there is no downfall of those if the perception is not transformed. If one speaks of the superior human quality itself, it becomes the actual basis; otherwise, it is blameworthy. If one speaks for oneself, it becomes the actual basis; if one applies it to others, it is blameworthy. If it is one's own word, it becomes the actual basis; if one does not speak it oneself, it is a minor offense. If others understand the meaning, it becomes the actual basis; if they do not understand, it becomes a grave offense. The downfall of application is transforming the perception, and because one speaks of oneself as possessing superior human qualities, having initiated the application, until one does not reach the actual basis, it becomes a grave offense. For those things that are not the actual basis of superior human qualities, it is a grave offense. If others do not understand the meaning, it is a grave offense. Even eating meat in the dust is a grave offense. The reason for calm abiding, holding onto one's own characteristics, suppressing afflictions, is also a grave offense. If one applies and shows to others the thought of desiring to possess superior human qualities, it is a grave offense. With the thought of speaking of superior human qualities, speaking of dissimilar causes and effects, and the meaning of learning and not learning, and so forth, it is a grave offense. If the superior human quality that one intends to speak of is mistaken, and one speaks of something else, it is a grave offense. Speaking partial words is a grave offense. Speaking partial words and not accepting the conclusion is a grave offense. If one says, "You possess superior human qualities," and accepts it without saying anything, it is a grave offense. If one says, "You possess superior human qualities; follow this and this," and if one follows, it is a grave offense. If a bhikshu adopts the appearance of another being, and the perception of a bhikshu is absent, it is a grave offense. For each application made to the actual basis, each one becomes a grave offense. The downfall of the application of application is striving for the sake of application, and as long as one does not reach the application itself, it becomes a dushkrta. For each of those downfalls of application as shown above, apply

A single combination of actions results in a single minor offense. Different combinations of actions result in a minor offense for each one. There is no downfall because there is no fault in pride, because there is no transformation of perception. There is no downfall for the first-time practitioner, the insane, the mentally disturbed, and those afflicted by feelings. What is to be learned is that in all places and at all times, one should not rely on any form of action, whether it be a minor offense, a major action, or a real event, that speaks of the supreme Dharma of humans. One should not teach without considering past and future objects, etc. The method of rectification is the same as before. The defeat of speech, the fourth, has been explained. O fortunate ones, I have explained the four defeats. This is the conclusion of the question. If a monk commits any of these downfalls, it refers to these four defeats. As it was in the beginning, so it is later, meaning that as there was no discipline in the state of being a householder, so it is in the state of falling. Here, it refers to those with weakened discipline, not those with no discipline at all. As it is said in the Vinaya Pitaka of the Sarvastivada school: "Like a debt, wealth, Kashmiris, there are two views on what happens." Thus, discipline is an act of arising mind, and the basis of learning is the physical form of expression of learning through body and speech. If one rectifies it with the mind, there is also a way to recover from the downfall of the edge. "Being defeated" means indicating the name of the category of downfall, the meaning of the words has already been explained. "Do not dwell together with the monks, and do not dwell because of many enjoyments" means indicating the faults of impurity. That is also said for those who have not been reformed for the sake of giving instruction. If one has given instruction and done the act of reforming, then it is not. "Dwelling together" means in one place. "Enjoyment" means with Dharma and wealth. "Not being in control" means not being appropriate.

Pa'o. The meaning of 'should not dwell' is that monks should not perform posadha, pravāraṇā, white, white second, and white fourth karmas together with him, and should not entrust him with the affairs of twelve people. To this, I will ask the venerable ones, are you completely pure in this? I will ask you, are you completely pure in this, ask twice, three times. If the venerable ones are completely pure in this, then it should be like this, because no one speaks, it is recognized as pure. This is to declare the establishment. Among them, 'to this' refers to the four parajikas that have been taught. 'The remainder' refers to the previous one. The explanation of the four parajikas is finished. Now I will explain the sanghavasesa, therefore, the verse says: Emission of semen, touching, obscene words, seeking offerings, large house, groundless slander, small part of sangha split, following, destroying families, disobeying instructions. Thus it is said. The meaning and word meaning of the verse are the same as before. There are thirteen sanghavasesas: emission of semen, bodily contact, speaking of sexual intercourse, seeking offerings, acting as an intermediary, building a house, building a monastery, groundless slander, following others' improper shares, causing division in the sangha, following those who break the sangha, destroying lay families, disobeying instructions. Venerable ones, these thirteen sanghavasesa dharmas appear twice a month in the Pratimoksha Sutra, which is to explain the source of the sanghavasesa. The meaning of sanghavasesa dharma is that these offenses depend on the sangha, are related to the sangha, and rely on the sangha, that is, these offenses need to be absolved from the sangha, not from an individual. Furthermore, the four parajikas have no remainder, but this has a remainder, therefore it is called sanghavasesa. It itself has the characteristics of Kanamthoba, so it is called dharma. These thirteen are, that is, starting from the emission of semen.
