Therefore, buying and selling is not a branch. Earlier than generating interest, if a bhikkhu makes a slight effort to obtain benefits, then all those efforts are the same, therefore, for combination, it is the same. Even so, here the treatise is that as long as one does not strive to obtain benefits, one commits a misdeed. If one obtains benefits, then it becomes a Nissaggiya Pacittiya, so it is said. The downfall of combination's combination is a minor misdeed, as many combinations as there are, so many combinations of combinations there are, the combination of misdeed's combination is also a misdeed, that is, a minor misdeed. Among them, first thinking in the mind is the minor misdeed of combination's combination. Then, the combination through body and speech is the actual misdeed of combination. Then, the ultimate is the actual basis of Nissaggiya Pacittiya, it should be understood in this way. If one merely wants to obtain benefits for the sake of others, then combination will have a minor misdeed. There is no downfall because there is no downfall in generating interest for the sake of the Three Jewels. Beginners, the insane, the mentally disturbed, and those afflicted by feelings, there is no downfall. What should be learned is that bhikkhus in all places and in all circumstances should not rely on all Nissaggiya that act with obvious signs. For the sake of the Sangha, inexhaustible brick and stone materials should be accepted. The monastery of the bhikkhu Sangha should be made into three stories. The summer residence of the bhikkhuni Sangha should be made into two stories. For the sake of the Sangha, inexhaustible brick and stone materials should be fully combined. For the sake of the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, inexhaustible materials should be fully combined, and any interest generated from it should be used to make offerings to the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. It should not be given to those patrons themselves, the rich, and the poor. If there are monastery managers or lay practitioners, then interest should be generated for the sake of the Three Jewels by informing them. Collateral should be accepted. Witnesses, year, month, date, Sangha's elders, disciplinarians, recipients, items, and interest should all be written on the document, and then interest should be given. Knowing through reason

That should also be made understandable to others. Here, the discussion of these is from the Mother Sutra, for example: The merchants of Vaishali had the World Honored One build stupas, and also had them build monasteries. Then, when they entrusted the monks with the implements that would prevent the stupas and monasteries from deteriorating, the monks regretted it and did not accept. At that time, the monks reported to the World Honored One, and the World Honored One instructed: Monasteries or lay practitioners should take the implements that will prevent the stupas from deteriorating, and after taking them, they should also increase them. I allow the profit gained from that to be used to make offerings to the stupas. In addition, the resident monks should say to the newly arrived monks, 'You can get so much each month from so-and-so.' The correction is the same as before. The abandonment of actions with obvious characteristics, the nineteenth, has been explained. The origin of the abandonment of trading is that the Buddha, the World Honored One, was residing in Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden in Shravasti. At that time, some monks were engaged in various kinds of trading, namely: receiving, sending, buying, and selling. How did they receive? When the countryside had a good harvest and the city had a bad harvest, they would receive from the countryside to the city, thus receiving. How did they send? When the city had a good harvest and the countryside had a bad harvest, they would send from the city to the countryside, thus sending. How did they buy? When the price was low, they would buy, thus buying. How did they sell? When the price was high, they would sell, thus selling. Other non-Buddhists and knowledgeable people said, 'The Shakyaputra ascetics have not given up, have not abandoned, have not individually abandoned. They engage in various kinds of trading like this: receiving, sending, buying, and selling, and Brahmins and householders.'
