They gave the five monks' bowls and robes to one person, and four people made a rope out of that thing, and four people struggled to carry the heavy load, and they carried those things away. They carried those loads, and the noble ones and the merchants saw the group of six monks carrying the wool loads, coming like they were behind, and said, "Noble ones, if we want to hire people, you take all this wool and pay the noble ones wages." You misers, are we your hired workers? Noble ones, even if not, please smile. In the caravan, some heretics came and said, "Oh, group of six monks, where will you drop the load? Where will you gain profit?" Heretics, tear open your mother's belly and drop the load there, and there you will gain profit. The group of six monks said, "Oh, lovely Nanda, if we go with the caravan, there will be many quarrels. Let's go in front of the caravan," and they went in front of the caravan, and on a certain cliff, in order to catch the thieves, many warriors were also arranged, and they saw them from a very far distance. Saying, "A great army has come!" all those mountain dwellers were frightened and fled into the forest. Some of them said, "These are not armies with elephants, but some female yaks have come." Others said, "These are not female yaks, but some elephants." Others said, "These are not elephants, but some people carrying loads." When they got closer, those wild men recognized them and said, "Holy ones, because you are carrying such loads, all the mountain dwellers are frightened and fleeing into the forest. Poor ones, if the robbers knew that you were so afraid, they would even kidnap you in broad daylight and take you into the forest. Oh, dear friends, if you go on the main road, there will be many obstacles, so we want to take a side road." They went on the side road. Those who sold groceries, waiting for the merchants to sell groceries, gathered many people waiting at the crossroads, and they saw them and said, "Oh, merchants selling groceries, why are you selling groceries?" Poor ones, are we your merchants selling groceries? Who are you? Are you the group of six monks? Yes. Go away! They said, "Oh, dear friends, if you enter through the gate of the Jeta Grove, you will be obstructed by those with black bowls. Let's enter through the side gate." They entered through the side gate. An old woman saw them and said, "Oh, you who carry loads, why are you entering around the village?" Old woman, are we your load carriers? She said, "Who are you? Are you the venerable group of six monks?" Yes. Venerable ones, it is good that you have come, it is good that you have come! After they went inside, they unloaded the wool and it became a huge pile like Mount Sumeru. The monks said to them, "Venerable ones, if you carry such loads, will you not encounter obstacles? Venerable ones, we are only doing this in order to eat food."
