Having completely bound them with those foundations, henceforth, not even a small piece of rag could be demanded from anyone. Now, there is a Brahmin named Yartshul who studies alphabets with me in the writing school. If I go to him and look, perhaps I can get a little from him. Thinking this, he went to his house. The gatekeeper refused, saying, 'Noble one, do not enter!' Nega said, 'The Blessed One with the Beautiful Face has said that there are five places that are not our domain: the house of a musician, the house of a prostitute, the house of a liquor seller, the palace of the king, and the house of an outcaste. Is this one of those houses?' The gatekeeper said, 'Noble one, you have said many offensive things. This is not any of those houses, but the dwelling of the Brahmin Yartshul.' Nega said, 'Hey, go inside and tell the Brahmin Yartshul that Nega, the wise one, wants to see him and is waiting at the gate.' The gatekeeper said, 'Are you the beloved heart of King Zukchen Nyingpo?' Nega said, 'Miser, if you announce, then announce. If you do not announce, I will give you a great punishment.' The gatekeeper thought, 'This one is so fearless and speaks without hesitation. If I do not announce, he will harm me. I will go and announce.' Thinking this, he went there and said, 'Master, the venerable Nega wants to see the master and is staying at the gate.' Yartshul said, 'Who is stopping the venerable Nega? Let the venerable Nega enter!' When Nega entered, Yartshul said, 'Venerable Nega has come, excellent! Excellent! Venerable Nega, please sit on the prepared seat.' Nega sat in front of him, and he began to praise giving with a loud voice, a pleasant voice, and a deep voice. When Nega was happy and praised giving from happiness, the Brahmins and faithful householders thought, 'Alas, we should even cut off our own flesh and give it away.' The Brahmin Yartshul said, 'Venerable Nega, I offer you sixty Karashapanas for the summer retreat.' Nega said, 'Enough, enough.'

May this generosity become the adornment of your mind, the equipment of your mind, the assembly of yoga, the attainment of the ultimate meaning, and also the enjoyment of gods and humans. Having said this, he left. At that time, two monks from Shravasti came to Rajagriha to prostrate at the feet of the Blessed One. The Blessed One also said to the venerable Ananda: Ananda, go and tell the monks that the Tathagata will go to Kosala for wandering. Whoever among you is willing to go to Kosala for wandering with the Tathagata, do the work of making robes. The venerable Ananda replied: Venerable, as you command. Having heard the teachings of the Blessed One, he announced this matter to the monks. The monks also replied: Venerable Ananda, as you command. They heard the words of the venerable Ananda. The two monks who came from Shravasti heard this and thought, we must also go to Shravasti, and they became unhappy. Nida also became afraid after hearing this, thinking that the hundred gold coins I had finally obtained on the hundredfold path would be interrupted. So he went to the Brahmin Summer Sect and began to praise generosity with a low voice, an unpleasant voice, and an unprofound voice. Summer Sect said: Venerable Nida, you used to praise generosity with a high voice, a pleasant voice, and a profound voice, but now you praise generosity with a low voice, an unpleasant voice, and an unprofound voice, what is the reason for this? Nida said: Little friend, we meet at a hundred miles, but we will soon be separated. The Magadhas understand the ending sound, the Kosalas understand the words, the Panchalas understand half, and the Westerners do not understand if they do not speak. Summer Sect thought, this person has abandoned the vast Shakya clan and has become a monk, he is not sad for separating from me, but he is sad for losing sixty karshapanas. So he said: Venerable Nida, wherever you live, I will give you six
