We entered, and the forty monks in the town said: Venerable ones, please let it go now! The six groups said: Venerable ones, it's too much! We said to the venerable ones from the beginning, if it doesn't harm you, we will beg for small pieces of cloth and large pieces of cloth for us young people, didn't we say that? Those monks were called powerful, and they sat there without saying anything when they were instructed. They gradually went to the house of the royal woman Xia Zima, the house of the flower garland woman, the house of the householder Anathapindika, the house of the female attendant Zhengshi Shiyu, the house of the two old people, the house of the mother of the female layperson Maridaga, and the house of the wife of the householder, Shansheng. They said what they had said before, and they also gave each monk thirteen items. Then the six groups said: Venerable ones, if a hundred monks do not take their seats, the seats will be empty, so take your seats today! It doesn't matter, we will also come back after begging for food. The six groups entered the monastery and piled up the old rags into forty piles and placed them there. After the forty monks came back after finishing their meal, the six groups lived together and said to the attendants: Venerable ones, come here and purify yourself with a small amount of things. They After they were called, the six groups said: Venerable ones, are we guarding your clothes, or are you taking your own clothes? The forty monks began to look at each other's faces, and the six groups said: Venerable ones, why are you looking at each other's faces? All the elders are rags! Venerable ones, untie these knots, they are felt! Sew these, they are upper garments! Sew these, they are skirts! Sew these, they are kasayas! If you don't like it, go and beg again! Alas, venerable ones, it's okay not to beg for these! They took those rags

They sewed and stayed at Bartong of E Monastery. Everywhere the sound was heard that the forty monks of the town settlement, each of them had obtained thirteen and seven items of equipment. Those monks saw it and said: Venerable ones, we have heard and seen it from others, we have heard that the forty monks of the town settlement, each of them has obtained thirteen and seven items of equipment. Venerable ones, they are sewing and staying in old rags. They said: You see, we have also heard that they carry them on their shoulders. When they said this, those monks told the monks, and the monks told the Blessed One. Then, the Blessed One, regarding this event, this origin, this occasion, convened the Sangha of monks, and rebuked the forty monks of the town settlement and the group of six, scolding them in various ways. The Blessed One also fully saw the ten benefits of establishing the training, my disciples should recite the basis of training in the Vinaya as follows: Has the monk's robe been robbed? Has the robe been lost? Has the robe been burned? Has the robe been carried away by the wind? Has the robe been carried away by the water? One should go to the householder or the wife of the householder, and beg for robes from a non-relative. If there is a Brahmin or a faithful householder who wants to give many robes because of the season, then the monk should take at most the upper garment and the lower skirt. If he takes more than that, he commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya. The Blessed One established this precept. The place is Sravasti. The objects are the forty monks of the town settlement and the group of six. The afflictions are acting without examination and greed. The fault is not knowing the limit of taking. Among them, a monk is one who believes in this Dharma. Has the robe been robbed, means that the monk's robe has been robbed by robbers or swindlers. Has the robe been lost, means that the monk's robe has been lost or wandered. Has the robe been burned, means that the monk's robe has been burned by fire. Has the robe been carried away by the wind, means that the monk's robe
