Starting from the gate of bliss, truly initiating individual liberation, and empowering. Those who have decided and subdued the senses, aging in peaceful monasteries, and the learned ones in the depths of forests, the abode of those whose youth has passed is blissful. This verse was spoken. The practitioner refers to the yogi, that is, "those who have decided and subdued the senses," and what is indicated by "the learned ones." Those endowed with the qualities of practice, such as those living in monasteries and under trees, are twelve types, that is, "aging in peaceful monasteries," and what is indicated by "in the depths of forests, those whose youth has passed." That bliss is what is indicated by "the abode is blissful." Among them, "has decided" refers to showing the complete purity of the qualities of practice, because of accepting with determination and making diligent effort. "Subduing the senses" refers to showing complete purity, because of having sense restraint. Therefore, combine "those who have decided and subdued the senses, aging in peaceful monasteries, the abode is blissful." "In peaceful monasteries" refers to showing the perfection of the abode of a deserted place. "Aging" refers to the order of completely relying on and focusing on one-pointedness. "Learned" refers to hearing the treatises of the three baskets, which shows that those who have aged in peaceful monasteries are with fruit, because the learned ones dwelling in monasteries will have fruit, otherwise they will not. "In the depths of forests" refers to the abode under the trees. "Those whose youth has passed" refers to those who have exhausted their indulgence. Their "abode is blissful" refers to life being blissful, because it is the cause of bliss in this life and the next, and bliss for oneself and others, and the ultimate bliss of pure conduct. Here, mentioning monasteries and the depths of forests is just an example, and it also includes all twelve qualities of practice. Therefore, this verse shows which practitioners, after making diligent effort and subduing the senses, the peaceful monasteries
