ན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་འོད་སྲུངས་ཆེན་པོ་ལ་དགེ་འདུན་གཏད་པ་དེའི་ཚེ་ཁྱིམ་བདག་གཅིག་ཡུན་རིང་པོ་ནས་སྨོན་པ། ཀྱེ་མ་བདག་གིས་གནས་བརྟན་འོད་སྲུངས་ཆེན་པོ་ལྷ་དང་མིས་མཆོད་པ་བཤོས་གསོལ་ཏེ། རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་ཞིག་བསྐོན་ན་ཅི་མ་རུང་སྙམ་ན་དེའི་འདོད་པ་ཡོངས་སུ་རྫོགས་པར་མ་གྱུར་ནས། དེ་ནས་ཁྱིམ་བདག་དེ་རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་ཐོགས་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་སོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས། ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་བ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོའི་རྐང་པ་གཉིས་ལ་མགོ་བོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ། འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ད་ལྟར་གནས་བརྟན་འོད་སྲུངས་ཆེན་པོ་ག་ལ་བཞུགས། ཅི་གསན། ཁྱིམ་བདག །དགོན་པའི་སྤྱིལ་བུ་ན་འདུག་ཅེས་ཐོས་སོ། །ཇི་ཙམ་ན་འདིར་བྱོན་པར་འགྱུར། འདི་ཉིད་ཀྱི་གསོ་སྦྱོང་བཅོ་ལྔ་པའི་ཚེའོ། །བཙུན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་མཁྱེན་པར་མཛོད་ཅིག །འདི་ན་བདག་ཡུན་རིང་པོ་ནས་སྨོན་པ། ཀྱེ་མ་བདག་གིས་གནས་བརྟན་འོད་སྲུངས་ཆེན་པོ་ལྷ་དང་མིས་མཆོད་པ་བཤོས་གསོལ་ཏེ། རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་ཞིག་བསྐོན་ན་ཅི་མ་རུང་སྙམ་ནས། བདག་གིས་རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་དེ་ཡང་འཚལ་ཏེ་མཆིས་ན། བདག་ཅག་ཁྱིམ་པ་དག་ནི་བགྱི་བ་མང་བ་དང༌། བགྱིད་པ་མང་བ་ལགས་ཀྱི། ཀྱེ་མ་བཙུན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོས་བདག་ལ་ཐུགས་བརྩེ་བའི་སླད་དུ་གནས་བརྟན་འོད་སྲུངས་ཆེན་པོ་ལྷ་དང་མིས་མཆོད་པ་ལ་རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་འདི་བསྐོན་དུ་གསོལ། དེ་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་སེམས་ཏེ། གལ་ཏེ་བདག་གིས་ཁྱིམ་བདག་ལས་རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་བླངས་ན་ནི་བསླབ་པའི་གཞི་རལ་བར་ཡང་འགྱུར། གལ་ཏེ་མ་བླངས་ན་ནི་ཁྱིམ་བདག་གི་བསོད་ནམས་ཀྱི་བར་ཆད་དང༌། གནས་བརྟན་འོད་སྲུངས་ཆེན་པོའི་རྙེད་པའི་བར་ཆད་དུ་ཡང་འགྱུར་ན་བདག་གིས་བླངས་པར་གྱུར་ན་དུས་མ་ཡིན་པའི་ཕྱིར་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་གནང་བར་འགྱུར་བ་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེའི་གནས་ཀྱང་ཡོད་པར་འགྱུར་གྲང་སྙམ་ནས་ཁྱིམ་བདག་ལས་རས་ཡུག་ཆེན་བླངས་ཏེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ག་ལ་བ་དེར་སོང་སྟེ་ཕྱིན་ནས། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཞབས་གཉིས་ལ་མགོ་བོས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ཏེ། མཐའ་གཅིག་ཏུ་འདུག་གོ །མཐའ་གཅིག་ ཏུ་འདུག་ནས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོས་སྐབས་དེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་རྒྱས་པར་གསོལ་ཏོ། །དེ་ནས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཚེ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ལ་བཀའ་སྩལ་པ། ཀུན་དགའ་བོ་ལེགས་སོ་ལེགས་སོ། །ངས་གནང་བ་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱིས་ཤེས་ཏེ། དེ་ལྟ་བས་ན་དགེ་སློང་གིས་ཞག་བཅུའི་བར་དུ་གོས་ལྷག་པ་རུང་བར་མ་བྱས་པ་བཅང་བར

那达（Na-da）将僧团托付给持寿者大迦叶（持寿者，指比丘），当时，一位居士长久以来一直祈愿：‘唉，我若能供养受天人供养的持寿者大迦叶食物，并献上一件大布衣，那该多好啊！’然而，他的愿望未能完全实现。之后，那位居士拿着大布衣，前往持寿者阿难陀（Ananda）所在之处，到达后，以头顶礼持寿者阿难陀的双足，说道：‘尊者阿难陀，您现在听说持寿者大迦叶住在哪里吗？’居士答道：‘我听说他住在寺院的茅屋里。’‘他何时会到这里来呢？’‘就在这个月的十五布萨日。’‘尊者阿难陀，请您知晓，我长久以来一直祈愿：‘唉，我若能供养受天人供养的持寿者大迦叶食物，并献上一件大布衣，那该多好啊！’现在我找到了这件大布衣，但我们这些在家之人事务繁多，要做的事情也很多。唉，尊者阿难陀，为了怜悯我，请您将这件大布衣献给受天人供养的持寿者大迦叶吧。’之后，持寿者阿难陀心想：‘如果我从居士那里接受这件大布衣，那么戒律的基础也会崩溃。如果我不接受，那么就会成为居士积累功德的障碍，也会成为持寿者大迦叶获得供养的障碍。如果我接受了，那么世尊（Bhagavan）允许在非时接受供养的情况也会存在。’于是，他从居士那里接受了大布衣，然后前往世尊所在之处，到达后，以头顶礼世尊的双足，在一旁坐下。在一旁坐下后，持寿者阿难陀将事情的经过详细地禀告了世尊。之后，世尊对持寿者阿难陀说道：‘阿难陀，太好了，太好了！你已经知道了我的允许。因此，比丘可以持有未经允许的、超过十天期限的剩余衣物。

When Nada entrusted the Sangha to the Venerable Mahakashyapa (Venerable refers to a Bhikshu), a householder had long wished: 'Alas, if I could offer food to the Venerable Mahakashyapa, who is worshiped by gods and humans, and offer him a large cloth, how wonderful would that be!' However, his wish was not completely fulfilled. Then, that householder, carrying a large cloth, went to where the Venerable Ananda was, and upon arriving, bowed his head to the feet of the Venerable Ananda, and said: 'Venerable Ananda, do you know where the Venerable Mahakashyapa is currently residing?' The householder replied: 'I have heard that he is residing in the monastery's hut.' 'When will he come here?' 'On the fifteenth Uposatha day of this month.' 'Venerable Ananda, please know that I have long wished: 'Alas, if I could offer food to the Venerable Mahakashyapa, who is worshiped by gods and humans, and offer him a large cloth, how wonderful would that be!' Now I have found this large cloth, but we householders have many affairs and much to do. Alas, Venerable Ananda, out of compassion for me, please offer this large cloth to the Venerable Mahakashyapa, who is worshiped by gods and humans.' Then, the Venerable Ananda thought: 'If I accept this large cloth from the householder, then the foundation of the precepts will also collapse. If I do not accept it, then it will become an obstacle to the householder's accumulation of merit, and it will also become an obstacle to the Venerable Mahakashyapa's receiving offerings. If I accept it, then the situation where the Bhagavan allows acceptance of offerings at an inappropriate time will also exist.' So, he accepted the large cloth from the householder, and then went to where the Bhagavan was, and upon arriving, bowed his head to the feet of the Bhagavan, and sat down to one side. After sitting down to one side, the Venerable Ananda reported the details of the matter to the Bhagavan in detail. Then, the Bhagavan said to the Venerable Ananda: 'Ananda, well done, well done! You have understood my permission. Therefore, a Bhikshu can hold unpermitted leftover clothing for up to ten days.'
