If one fears that going there and not confessing would incur the fault of concealment, would one not go there for that reason? Going elsewhere and not confessing does not incur the fault of concealment. In any case, before the conditions are ripe, not going there, going elsewhere, not confessing before dawn, and generating a mind of concealment are all misdeeds, as before. The person to whom one should confess is a fully ordained monk who abides in his own nature, and if there are no differences in name and kind of transgression among those who are of the same discipline and reside within the boundary, then confessing verbally to these upholders of the Dharma as previously taught is itself a confession. The distinctions of these are also as before. The general teaching of confessing transgressions is also as before. The mantra of confession should be recited completely. If one cannot recite the mantra of confession completely, even if one makes known a single name or kind, it becomes a confession. Here, 'name' refers to the category of transgression, and 'kind' refers to the transgression that has occurred. Thus, if one confesses the preparation for a transgression, one does not need to separately confess the misdeed of the preparation for that preparation. Having confessed in this way, the confession of a grave offense of the Sangha-avasesa, which is a serious offense, must be confessed to all the monks who are not separated in a boundary where five or more monks are gathered. It is not permissible to confess in a place where there are not enough five monks. It is permissible to confess if one obtains monks from another place and completes five or more. If other monks are placed in a place where there are five or more monks, it is not permissible to confess even if five or more are separated separately. From five or more onwards, one must confess to all the monks who reside there. Abandoning the grave offense of the Sangha-avasesa, whether inside or outside the boundary, confessing to a single monk is itself a misdeed. The saying, 'The first of that day is the first dawn,' means that the first of that day is the first dawn, like this: of the first dawn, the middle dawn, and the last dawn, whatever is the first moment of the first dawn, that is it. Therefore, in establishing transgressions, one should also consider the dawn of eleven days for holding, separating, placing, and so on.

When the first light of dawn appears, and the first light of dawn within a day, if the first light of dawn exceeds one month, it should be known as Nissaggiya Pacittiya. Regarding actions, if it has passed, it is called "the rising of the sun, o," which is an exclusion of the previous characteristic. For actions related to the difference in date numbers, such as the Uposatha and purification, if the time has passed and ended due to some circumstances, then the first moment of the rising sun is the first of the day and night. Therefore, the so-called "day" means that even if the first light of dawn has already appeared, as long as the sun has not risen, then Uposatha and other actions can still be performed at that time. Regarding Nissaggiya Pacittiya, the so-called "consciousness is more important than the object" means that for the object of Nissaggiya Pacittiya, consciousness is more important than the object itself, not the object itself. Taking what is not given and the belongings of the dead, then the object is more important than consciousness, not consciousness itself. Here, the text comes from the root of the leather: If a bhikkhu entrusts robes and other items to a bhikkhu, and they are sent from here but do not reach there, then it will not become Nissaggiya Pacittiya for anything. This is taught as follows: If entrusting robes and other items in this way can make the bhikkhu living far away possess them, then because that bhikkhu does not have the consciousness that "this is my own" for that object, therefore it will not become Nissaggiya Pacittiya. If stealing from the entrusted object itself, then it is not stealing from the entrusted person, but stealing from the entrusting person. Similarly, if a bhikkhu with the consciousness of correct giving dies before the entrusted object is obtained, or if both the entrusting person and the entrusted person die, then it should be known that the object is only the belongings of the dead of the entrusting person, not the correctly given object. For this, it is distinguished from the object, not from the consciousness. Thus, having consciousness becomes real, and not having consciousness does not lead to offense. Furthermore, if one considers what is not one's own as one's own, then it is a Dukkaṭa. Doubting what is one's own leads to Nissaggiya Pacittiya, and acting according to reality is real.
