It is the final moment of dawn. The so-called "non-final" means that the times before that final moment do not exist. Thus, the final moment of the first light of dawn on the next day, for the times before it, from after the first light of dawn on the previous day, until the first light of dawn on the next day itself, all those times do not exist. The so-called "non-existence" means that it is not counted as a day. Then, the final moment of the first light of dawn on the next day itself is counted as a day. The times before it, from after the first light of dawn on the previous day, until the first light of dawn on the next day itself, are not counted as a day, therefore, when establishing transgressions here, ten days have passed, one month has passed, six days have passed, seven days have passed, it also refers to the final moment of the first light of dawn on the next day, which is the end of the first day and night, only it can obtain the name of day and night or day, therefore, for abandonment, it should also be known that it itself is a limb. The previous moments, those belonging to the ten periods, are not the limb of establishing abandonment. In short, when the first light of dawn rises, it will be abandoned, the times before the first light of dawn rises, from after the first light of dawn on the previous day, until the day and night periods between the first light of dawn on the next day itself, are not counted as a day, therefore it will not be abandoned, this is a general explanation. The so-called "abiding is the vessel of combination" means that those times that are not the last, for abiding, are the real combination, the tool of misdeeds. Then, when establishing transgressions, for example, abiding with one who has not received full ordination, even if one has received full ordination, abiding with one who does not abandon views, abiding with an expelled monk, sleeping together with those of different genders in the same place, sleeping with a lamp lit, staying in the army, etc., for them, those times before the last moment are not non-existent, but are the vessel of combination.

Moreover, except for residing in the military, for other dwelling training grounds, only the time belonging to the night is suitable, and residing during the day is not suitable. For residing in the military, residing during the day is also suitable, because merely residing there can liberate one from the downfall of gross offenses. For this situation, when confessing, a bhikkhu should not conceal his faults. For the offense of the thirteen sanghavasesas, whether light or heavy, as long as even a single thought of concealment arises, one should not conceal it. Immediately, one should take off both shoes, observe a monk who possesses the complete bhikkhu precepts, and a fellow practitioner of the same seniority within the boundary, and then squat down in front of someone who is different from oneself in name and lineage, joining palms and bowing. One should state the category name of the downfall and the type of offense committed, and confess. The mantra for this is as follows: 'Venerable ones, please listen. I, a bhikkhu named so-and-so, have committed a sanghavasesa offense, belonging to such-and-such category, a gross offense resulting from such-and-such action has occurred. I, a bhikkhu named so-and-so, confess this offense before the venerable ones, I do not conceal it. If I confess, I will dwell in contact with happiness, if I do not confess, I will not,' repeat this three times. After that, the listener should say: 'This is the method.' The confessor should say: 'Excellent!' This is how the confession is completed. If at that moment there is no one to whom one can confess, then there is no offense of concealing the transgression until dawn. As long as one has not found someone to whom one can confess, even if dawn breaks, there is no offense of concealing the transgression if one has not confessed. If there is no one to whom one can confess, as long as one has the intention to confess, even if one has not found someone to whom one can confess, there is no offense of concealing the transgression. Even if there is someone to whom one can confess, but due to some circumstances, one does not have the opportunity to go there, or one has already left from there, then during that time, without the intention to confess, there is no offense of concealing the transgression. Even if there is someone to whom one can confess, but when the downfall occurs, one thinks:
